Homicide Investigation Inside Bethesda Fitness Store(Lululemon)

Police are investigating a homicide inside the Lululemon store in Bethesda.

Saturday morning, an employee opening the fitness clothing retailer discovered two of her co-workers inside the store. One woman, Jayna Murray, was declared dead at the scene, and the other victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Both had been beaten.

Police determined the two victims closed the store at nine o'clock Friday night, leaving a shortly after. One of the employees realized that she had left something in the store, but she did not have the keys to re-enter. She called her coworker, who had a set of keys, and they arranged to meet back at the store.

The two women went back into the Bethesda Row store, and some time shortly after, two men dressed in black and wearing masks followed in after them. What police think was initially a robbery turned violent, with one woman murdered and the other sexually assaulted. Both had been physically beaten.

New details - The 27 year old called the 30 year old (murder victim) to say that she (the 27 year old) left something in the store and could they please meet back up at the store?

That was revealed on a recent news broadcast. I smell set up.

There is going to be a press conference in Rockville MD tonight at 7:00 pm.

I actually told several friends that the co-worker (or in my words “the b*tch” did it.) The more I thought about it, the more I was convinced.

Maybe I’m missing the obvious but the police said both were raped so how? Did the coworker just use something to cause damage? I wonder what the motive was...jealousy?

If the forensics were there, it was the boyfriend. Have sex with both and make it look like a robbery/rape.

That's what I was thinking. It will turn out that it was the woman's idea, but she'll be offered probation in order to jail the boyfriend.

Thanks for the picture. I spent some time looking for her picture but wasn’t successful and even now some news sites aren’t posting her mug shot. It will be interesting to find out the motive.

They arraigned the perp today by video. According to the reporter, the perp sat with her arms folded. The radio reported that the victim had too many head wounds to count and her throat was slashed. Blood found in the perp's car, but apparently she hatched her plan, went back in the store and cut herself superficially. Earlier in the evening the victim had called the store manager to report the perp for theft. Also people in the busy Apple store next door heard two women arguing.

Then WTOP radio added their own scoop which was that perp was transferred from the Georgetown store to the Bethesda store after being accused of theft (info from a police report).

It appears Lululemon may have some liability in this case. Very badly handled. So sad.
