You are right. All those that proclaim it is all no big deal wouldn’t buy a home anywhere near a nuclear reactor.

This may not be a reason to panic, but it sure is a turnoff to a normal person.

or a refinery; we haven't seen a new one built in some thirty years. A couple of years ago the Democrats stopped the plans for a military refinery that was to be built for military fuels only.

US Navy would be minus one of its basic means of propulsion, should nuke plants no longer be built.

I can certainly believe the statement, which may not be a bad thing, if reality becomes the bottom line. Coal fired is safe, reliable, cheap, (by comparison), quickly built, and needed, to use our own assets. Except for the US Navy. I can’t see them going back to coal tenders, but stranger things have happened.
