Glad to hear that. As long as you’re not worried. I’m not worried.

For the Japanese of that area it isn’t a panic. There is a really good chance at this point that there will have to be an exclusion zone in force for decades around this plant.

That said, anyone outside the local area of the plant let alone outside Northern Japan should chill out. Even if the worst case scenarios pan out we’ll all be fine and there are Japanese with Japanese work ethics and Japanese skills doing everything to avoid those outcomes.

Too bad our media is ratings driven and therefore panic driven.

Radiation level going up because of the fire Edano said, but no nuclear material on fire?

Something seems weird.

When government tells you they have detected 400 ms right out side of the third nuclear reactor, and that the 4th is on fire and they recommend (as a precaution) for people in the 20 to 30km range to stay inside, I would have to say that there is reason to pay attention.

Watch the videos of the explosions that occur to 3 Nuclear Reactor Buildings after Japans Oldest and Largest Nuclear Plant experiences a Catastrophic direct hit from a massive Tsunami wave. Then get back to us. Or are you going to claim the videos have been faked ?

I grew up with an interest in this sort of thing. There’s reason for concern but not the irrational panic I’m seeing. If Chernobyl didn’t kill us all, this damn sure won’t. Chernobyl was many orders of magnitude worse.

A lot of the same people who told us that the seafloor was going to collapse after the BP spill in the gulf moved from there to the dispersant used was going to kill us. This is just the latest source of panic.

Of all the countries around the world Japan was the first of only two to have to deal with nuclear fallout.

Just listened to live report from Japan. They measure what they say very carefully of course. With people loosing homes and even whole communities the fears of radiation fallout could put some right over the edge.

We really cannot imagine what they are experiencing and they are accustomed to quakes and such...this has gone way beyond the norm for them. Amazing stamina of these people.

They are telling people to stay inside, closed windows, and any laundry outside not to be brought in. No air conditioning. for those in a 20-30 kilometer distance from nuclear site. Also to dust off before entering homes.

Before I state what I'm going to say I want to preface it with this: I have many relatives in Japan, as well as VERY dear friends that live in Sendai.

I know some will be offended by what I write, but it's time for Truth.

The Japanese people, as well as those counting on the bravery, IQ's, and sacrifice of the Japanese workers seeking to fix this problem, need to seriously consider crying out to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth.

The knowledge and wisdom to deal with this tragedy, and its aftermath, can only come from God. Without God, knowledge and wisdom do not exist.
