Is this the Beginning of the End of the USA? (Shameless Vanity)

I feel a heaviness and a foreboding for our country. Do any of you feel we are close to the end, there is so much going on my head is spinning.

We are losing our identity as "Americans", multi-culturalism and socialism is overtaking us. The west is turning away from Israel and that is a dangerous sign. We seem to be aiding the islamists and this all seems so planned to me. Zero is a non-president and seems to be a robot who is told by others what to do.

I just don't know what is up, but it is not good.

I remember back in the 70s, reading The Late Great Planet Earth. I wondered how the whole world would be able to see the events described in the Revelation. It just seemed outlandish at the time. Now, I can understand how with satellite and 24/7.

I’ve been sensing this for some time. I don’t think this is the beginning, though. It started in the 1960s in some places, and in other places, hasn’t even happened... Yet.

I’ve been living in Alabama for 14 years now. When I left the USA for overseas Bush I had just won the Gulf War and we were being hailed as heroes. When I came back Clinton was deep in the Lewinsky’s. I’m glad we got assigned to Alabama. If there’s any place in the USA that still holds true to good ole American values it’s here. Still, the anti-Americanism creeps in, every day, in a thousand different ways.

I think this next election will be the one that starts to get us out of the mess, or heralds the real end. We shall see.

I get depressed at what is happening in this country, but then I think of a few things and my spirits lift.

One is how we all came together whan out nation was attacked so viciously on 9/11. We were one, and one was for all.

The stuff we are facing now is different, in that we have allowed a press to take over and push their angle without balance. No true journalism. And that is partially why O was allowed to gain the WH. But since his election, and what he has done to this country in so short a time, we are beginning to see the rise of the people once again, in the form of the Tea Parties. The states are beginning to stand up and be STATES again. The power in the WH is weakening and those RINOS are being watched closely. Many who voted this demon to power are having second thoughts. The people are beginning to take back this country. Look at the attendence of so many young people at places like CPAC as compared to a few years ago. Listen to the loud annunciating of “under God” when a group says The Pledge. As far as the press is concerned, look at the ratings of the alphabet news programs. There is even talk about church mambership increasing.

There is a long way to go, of course, but when I get down and gloomy, something happens to lift my spirit. Wisconsin is one. That judge’s decision in Florida is another. Little things, but I hope we have reached the bottom and little by little will make our way back up.

Do you see that Zero has effectively started a war from another country (Brazil) soil without congressional approval on a weekend.Very disturbing to me. How can this be?

He has opened a door for al quieda and islamists to completely have free rain in Africa and the middle east. Islam and democracy do mix well!

Restoration via the ballot box doesn't appear to be working, in DC, Wisconsin and elsewhere. "This dark age" will not last much longer as those who want to extend it require the livelihood of those who want to end it.

Simple laws of physics are on now display.

Is our master now the UN, bypass congress and go with their resolutions rather then our own legislators! See, this is the type of thing I allude to when I ask is this then end of our power in the world.

I thought I'd share a thought posted in the comments section from an article at Human Events called: "Top 10 Obama Leisure Activities"

"Gee, it's unfair that you're getting down on America's first Affirmative Action president. I mean, a sense of entitlement comes with the territory. He shouldn't have to lift a damned finger while he's in the White House - except maybe for acting as the pace car in America's race to become a Marxist state.

After all, in case you haven't noticed, he's b-l-a-c-k. And now you want him to do something other than live large of the American taxpayer?

Not only are you critics just hating bigots, you also haven't been paying attention to the way race works in America for the last 40 years.

Crackers.

>>>It is the beginning of the American Empire. Our Congress is worthless. First ObamaCare then debt and now Libya?<<<

Could be. Remember that the first act of Augustus after being crowned Emperor was to restore the Senate, thereby bringing back the lost republican virtues of the Roman state. Sadly, no one caught the irony of restoring a republic via imperial decree, and Augustus was a good enough statesman to hang on for several decades, long enough for most Romans to forget what it was like to live without a monarch.

I could easily imagine a post-Democrat America humbled by the world, and a fiery conservative calling on a restoration of American values and virtue, but expressed in a setting of a war of American vs. the world. After a while, the wartime restrictions would simply look like American culture, and the commander in chief would lead the states, who will have willingly given up their own power in a popular struggle. Wierdly enough, I would also imagine in that case a kind of Pax Americana in which we would then unflinchingly impose our will on the world as a response to the previous crushing humiliation.

In fact, if there is to be one world, you’ll need a policeman. Why not imperial America?

Of course, that’s just one science fiction scenario. Who the hell knows?

Thank you— to all those brave ones who have or are serving our country. It is because of you, and because of my father, who also served, and because of men like Allen West, that I keep hoping.

I’ll be honest, Seeker, in 2001 I had the same uncomfortable feeling, and have the same type of foreboding you have mentioned about the Creator. I’ve posted many times on FR with these thoughts, but very few respond. Most are more comfortable talking about economy or political strategy, etc. I’m not criticizing. It’s a tough pill to swallow.

Greyfoxx39 mentioned living off the dole. We Americans ALL have been doing exactly that since about the 60’s. The dole I speak of is blessings from the Creator. We’ve gotten, but have we continued to walk in the light? Look to the subject of abortion, marriage, etc, for the answer to that question. We’ve all been welfare Americans.

I don’t know the answer to your question. Like Abraham prayed, I pray...please have mercy for these souls who walk with you. But in the end, He already has had mercy by providing a path to Him regardless of how things work out on this earth.

Nevertheless, America, the ideal, is a beautiful thing. I will keep praying for her.

Our 2nd Amendment is over-rated. Sure we have the guns but do we have the resolve to take our country back?

Thank you for your kind words so eloquently stated. I wish you the best on this path we are on...Sometimes on FR you just have to be persistence to get the message across. One thing I do is answer posts and BTTT until I am convinced the message was heard:)

I feel the same gnawing fear and anxiety. So many things are going wrong in America today that I can’t keep track of what is still going right.

Did you ever foresee a day when the people’s tax money would be used to bail out big banking tycoons? Or when a President, who freakin’ BOWS to foreign potentates, takes another vacation when the world is catching fire? Or when death threats are made against elected representatives (in Wisconsin) and NOBODY is arrested? Or that anybody would DARE mention pulling the plug on the Internet?

This is surreal! Give me a few more pages of text and I’ll try to list all the weirdness going on. For example, if a major war started tomorrow, do you honestly believe we’d still support Israel? Does a million people a year coming across our border, many of them armed, still constitute an invasion? Is there a single non-military government agency that ISN’T a corrupt, useless waste of OUR money?

I’m willing to stick with the system, at least for now. I’ll vote, as religiously as ever, and hope we can finally put some disciplined people with actual spines into office. Hope fades but I’m still willing try.

But while I’m doing that, I’m quietly going Galt. I only trust my local officials and only because I don’t need a scope to reach them. I’m planting BIG gardens in every backyard that I can access, because I’m too fond of eating to give that up. And make no mistake ... when they control our food supply, they’ve got us by the short hairs and we are dead, dead, dead. Take care of your own.

How about a tsunami hitting Crescent City, CA, and there are no films or videos of it? Why is it being suppressed? Who gains?

If Ozero is re-elected. Yes it’s over. The nation cannot withstand much more of this.

I fully expect that he will cheat through ACORN and the DOJ. Funny though, I don't feel so enraged about it anymore, how he's destroying America. I just feel numb to the insanity of America's predicament. I guess I'm just in shock.

The people around me wonder what is wrong with my attitude but I can't waste my time trying to persuade them anymore. I'm done and I don't care how much pain they are about to incur because their ignorance has sickened me to a depth I didn't know existed. I've never felt so disgusted in my life.
