Bachmann begins to overshadow Palin as more-likely White House contender
The Daily Caller ^ | April 5, 2011 | Shane D’Aprile

The vacuum created by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R) absence from the 2012 campaign trail presents a major opportunity for the woman she once hinted might share a presidential ticket with her: Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.).

With strategists and conservative activists increasingly convinced that Palin won’t make a run for the White House next year, she is losing some clout among her contingent of grassroots devotees who are eager to hit the 2012 campaign trail and rally behind an alternative to President Obama.

Bachmann, who is mulling a 2012 run, is the most obvious choice to supplant Palin in next year’s presidential contest.

“Sort of like Obama”? Except that she disagrees with him on EVERYTHING. I prefer Sarah, but I’ll take Bachmann gladly if Sarah doesn’t run.

when she is inundated with lawsuits keeping her from doing her job, pushing her and her family into bankruptcy without the ability to counter sue... then we’ll see how she would respond

i have zero problem with Sarah resigning from the governor’s post in order to confront those attacking her... from other states

people, such as yourself, try to make an issue of it... conveniently omitting the circumstances. trolls never care about facts or accuracy. they’re mostly adolescent adults whose inspirations come from tv talk shows, drugs and porn.

If Sarah decides to run you can reverse the names in the title.

The first 2 paragraphs explains it all.

If you could choose between these four candidates: Bachmann, Cain [Herman], Palin and West [Rep. Allen West], for President & VP, who would you match up?

Go to Wikipedia yourself and look up Michele Bachmann;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michele_Bachmann#Early_career

The after you get through reading her countless legal, and former executive positions, also her law degree, then try to tell me she is less experienced than Palin.

Bachmann was also a State Senator and a very successful one at that.

Smartest thing Palin ever did was to get out of gubmint in AK and rejoin the private sector and make some dough and be a regular American again for a while.

Don't worry, the details of those lawsuits will all come out if Palin runs. She knows this more than anyone, and that alone is why she will be a 3 legged horse against Obama.

See, there is where you mess up. You are already in her camp. Many people will not take that way.

Just because you accept that does not mean that the voters in a general election will go for that.

Many do not follow politics as we do here, they will just be finding out.

The President needs to have CEO or experience as a Governor. The President must make solo decision. Bachmann is in Congress where everything is decision by committee. She has no experience in a governing position. I’d be OK with Palin as Pres. and Bachmann as VP.

And it looks like the Palin crowd has started the attack on Bachmann

Bachmann’s district has more people than that “executive” had to deal with.....in the 18 months she served before she cut and run

Bachmann is the Conservative, and the one I believe all conservative will be supporting

Read post 26.

With regard to having a natural born citizen in the White House, and upholding the Constitution ( ALL of it!) she has a spine the consistency of Dannon Yogurt.

She is a FOOL who is listening to what Karl Rove whispers in her ear.

This is not Bachamnn, that was Sarah Palin dissing the Birthers.

“Look up the facts before you smear her.”

That’s ironic. Your post makes my case. The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act is precisely what I was referring to. In a nutshell, all food production falls under the oversight of the:

“-Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in conjunction with the Secretary of Agriculture, to publish proposed rules for establishing “science-based minimum standards” for the safe production and harvesting of fruits and vegetables within one year of the enactment of this bill (Sec. 105).”

and,

“-Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, to allocate resources to inspect any food item imported into the United States according to the known safety risks of the food, and the compliance history of the importer (Sec. 201).”

This bill grants our federal government carte blanche authority over ANYONE who produces and sells food. You’ll note that the bill does not specify the specific size of the business.

NOTE: The sponsor of the bill is a........(wait for it) DEMOCRAT; Rep. Sutton, Betty (D-OH) . The majority of supporters of this bill were DEMOCRATS.

Whose smearing who?

It’s kind of pathetic the “woman candidate” can be Palin or it can be Bachmann .. as if we can have only one woman running. Why not Bachman vs Pawlenty or Daniels or Palin vs Romney or Huckabee? It’s like filling the ‘black seat’ on the Supreme Court. Rather insulting, imo.
