As long as George Allen stays focused and on the issues.

Does she get paid as DNC chair...?

I'm trying to recall, have we ever before had a sitting member of congress serve as a party chair?

George Allen was stupid for saying macaca, even if nobody knew what it meant.

BUT...I have never seen a “journalistic” entity go after a candidate the way the WaPo went after Allen over the issue.

I like Jamie Radtke. I’ve known her personally for years and I think she’s eloquent and smart. She’s also tough and no-nonsense and I don’t see her compromising her values and fiscal principles for the Washington political games.

Statement from George Allen for U.S. Senate Campaign

Richmond, VA – Katie Wright, Director of Communications for the George Allen for U.S. Senate campaign released the following statement on DNC Chairman Tim Kaine’s entry into the U.S. Senate race:

“After being convinced by his liberal allies in Washington to run, Chairman Kaine’s announcement today sets up a clear contrast for the families of Virginia. Whether comparing records and ideas for the future on job creation and innovation, tax and regulatory policy, energy, or protecting Virginia’s right to work laws, the differences are clear.

“George Allen stands for responsible, smarter government and helping families keep more of what they earn. Allen made job creation his number one priority, resulting in a record number of private sector jobs and investment in Virginia. He also worked to keep the Internet free of taxation while sponsoring meaningful reforms for Washington like the balanced budget amendment, line-item veto authority and paycheck penalty for Congress.

“While Chairman Kaine may try to paint a different picture of his tenure as Governor, it was marked by his proposals calling for staggering tax increases and by substantial job losses for Virginians. As Chairman, Kaine stood with his liberal Washington allies like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi as they imposed their harmful agenda on Virginia and America, making trillion dollar deficits the norm and loading our children with the burden of an unprecedented national debt.

“Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid may be friends of Chairman Kaine, but they are no friends of Virginia families and job-creating business owners. While we know he will look to his Washington allies for help and guidance in his campaign, George Allen will continue to listen to the families of Virginia and work hard to earn the right to represent their voices, views and values in the U.S. Senate.”

Tim Kaine Attempting to Fail in the U.S. Senate
by Alan Moore
April 5, 2011
Tim Kaine formally announced that he is running for U.S. Senate in Virginia today. Kaine is the current DNC chairman and former ineffective governor of Virginia. Here's all you need to know about Tim Kaine's record:
  1. As Governor his biggest accomplishment was enacting a smoking ban in restaurants. This was his top priority during his administration
  2. Tim Kaine's great plan to fix the budget deficit (which current Governor Bob McDonnell was able to fix in 6 months, while Kaine couldn't do it in 4 years) was to raise the income tax... The measure failed 97-0
  3. Tim Kaine became DNC Chairman in January 2009. He promptly oversaw losing the Massachusetts Senate seat previously held by Ted Kennedy to Scott Brown... Kaine was instrumental in the defeat of his party in the congressional shellacking of 2010
...Aside from being a rubber stamp for the Obama Administration and continued dithering and bad choices on important issues, Kaine brings nothing of value to the table... Tim Kaine is a failure, nothing more. Hopefully he'll continue this trend in his bid for U.S. Senate.
