Wisconsin City Caught Destroying Ballots
Pundit Press ^ | 4/6/11 | Thomas Ferdousi

Posted on 04/06/2011 1:44:56 PM PDT by therightliveswithus

As if the situation in Wisconsin wasn't tense enough, it appears that one county in particular is going to a new extreme. This comes after word that there may have been voter fraud in the nonpartisan State Supreme Court election yesterday between incumbent David Prosser and JoAnne Kloppenburg.

For some reason one of the counties in the state is destroying ballots that 'were not counted' yesterday. Apparently this is a very bizarre and egregious move.

There is now a call for an injunction to preserve the 'discarded' ballots:

I have filed a Wisconsin Open records request with the City of Mequon demanding any ballot submitted but not cast in yesterday's election, including any remnant of a shredded ballot. We have received reports Mequon poll workers destroyed submitted ballots before poll closing time, demanding a driver’s license number from the absentee voter. This request is unusual and the destruction of ballots is of grave concern, given the closeness of the state Supreme Court election. I will consider seeking an injuction to back up my request if Mequon officials are not copperative [sic]. Mark Belling, April 6, 2011

Tampering with our electoral process should carry the death penalty.

It’s time we contracted privately for third parties to run elections.

We really do need professionals to ensure that an essential process of democracy is flawlessly executed. It's insane, isn't it, that we have hapless volunteers, many first-timers, running polling places, and that only on a sporadic basis, so that training and procedure are nearly completely unpracticed and inept? I've watched these people - good people, no doubt - but completely unsure and untrained because they aren't doing this on a regular basis, and there is mostly no standards on how things are to be done securely. I'm sure an audit would produce an adverse opinion in most cases.

Little by (not so) little the rule of law and our freedom are going away. So many “unpresendented” events, I wonder what “unpresendented” events are scheduled for November 2012.

"Does that excuse it?"

Uhhhhhhh.......noooo.

Being sent to jail is not, in general, being excused for your actions.

However, if you feel capital punishment is a proper punishment, I guess jail would be considered as excused.

Wouldn’t it be easier to re-vote on Walker’s budget bill?

That's still an option. Just keep enough fleebaggers restrained to ensure a quorum.

In the 2004 presidential election, more than 10,000 people voted that were not counted as signed in to vote in Madison WI alone!

This comes from the Madison Police Department’s own investigation into voter fraud!

Liberals, Unions, Socialist = voter fraud!

With a spread of ony 247 votes between the two candidates, the action of the county may well be grounds enough to VOID the whole election.

I hope they DEMAND that the election be reheld, or else!

The spread has increased to about 7,000, with Prosser being the beneficiary of AP idiocy in not noting and pointing out that Brookfield results were NOT included in the total.

“If they broke the law, prosecute. It’s the only way we will come close to stopping this stuff. The Democrats will keep doing it, because they always get away with it.”

Exactly. Convict anyone involved in the shredding of election fraud and send the to prison for thirty years.
