Rush made the salient point. There is no reason to believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii. If he was born in Hawaii after 1959, he is eligible to be President. Q.E.D.

Except his Kenyan grandmother claimed to be there when he was born in Kenya.

Except the Kenyan parliment has acknowledged his Kenyan birth on at least three occasions.

Except an image of a Kenay birth certificate has been publihed on the web (The same high standard the Hawaiian BC is held to: An image was published on the web).

Except Hawaiian officials have never actually said he was born on Hawaii, the statements have been carefully parsed to imply that, while glossing over the simple fact that the proper documents to get an Hawaiian certificate of birth do not require Hawaiian birth.

Except that the very first itty-bitty baby Barack sighting (Ignoring the Kenyan grandma because, well, she's not Susan Blake) was 2500 miles from his putative birth site, yet so soon after his birth that Susan Blake had to show Stanley Ann how to change a diaper...

I thought since his father was not a citizen that nothing else matters....he isn’t natural born no matter where and when he was born.

But there is the natural born requirement in the constitution for two citizen parents based on understanding of the term when the document was written. Otherwise anchor babies born to illegal aliens would qualify to run for president and surely that was not intended. And shouldn't the burden of proof be on Obama to prove, via a long form birth certificate provided and certified by the state of his birth to disinterested or at least politically balanced authorities, that he meets the natural born criteria? Or does Obama get a pass because he was able to stonewall all verification attempts before assuming office? Other elected officials have been removed once fraud came to light.

I was born in Massachusetts, and I am not eligible to be president.

Obama has shelled out millions to have you believe that the English word "native," is the same as the English word "natural." Apparently, he has been successful.

The very most the man can be, if it is indeed found that he was born in Hawaii, is a

NATIVE BORN CITIZEN.

In fact, that is ALL Obama has ever PERSONALLY claimed.

As a dual citizen at birth, he simply can never be a

NATURAL BORN CITIZEN

Upon reaching his majority, the man had the choice of becoming an American Citizen (or returning to American Citizenship upon affirmation, if he were indeed born in Hawaii), An Indonesian Citizen, A Kenyan Citizen, or a British Subject.

A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN could have no such choice. These rather simple premises have been the first casualties in the "Birther Wars."

There have been two Presidents who did not meet the Constitutional requirements of Article II: Chester A. Arthur, who lied his ass off about it. And the so-called- Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. (or II) who has used tax-payer and Soros money to avoid even being asked the right questions. What's your legal name? Where were you born and can you prove it? Were both your parents American citizens at the time of your birth? Etc.

The other differences: Chet loved the USA, was pretty good at the job, and wasn't all that bad a President. Obama has demonstrated no love or even understanding of the USA, has been an administrative disaster, uniformly terrible at the job, and with his Marxist economic orientation, has happily stood by to watch it crumble financially. For my money this fundamentally stupid and arrogant SOB will go down as the worst President the country has ever had, or hopefully ever will have.

On the other side of the coin; there is no reason to believe that he was. What about the father? Who was he?

Even if he was born in Hawaii, there is the question of what makes a “natural born citizen”. There is a LOT of data that says that to qualify as a natural born citizen, both your parents must be citizens. And we are 100% sure that Obama Sr. WAS NOT a citizen.

Uh-oh. You're going to catch hell from all of these Vattel scholars... who never even heard of Vattel before Obama came on the scene.

It is possible for him to have been born in HI (there is no evidence he was) and be a citizen, but NOT a “natural born” U.S. Citizen, unless someone other than Barrack H. Obama, Sr. was his father.

In my opinion, he is a total fraud. No evidence has been presented to support the fact that he is a U.S. Citizen, much less a “natural born” U.S. Citizen as the Constitution requires.......

Notary, you are sadly, one of the many uninformed. Rush probably knows better, but he also understands the dearth of literacy among so many. Being born i Hawaii in no way established eligibility. Just ask Pat Leahy, and every other senator, who, in 2008, signed Senate Res 511 in which archives you will read:

“My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff replied. “That is mine, too,” said Leahy.”

What don't you understand about being born of American Parents? Every U.S. Senator understood that? Oh, they were talking about McCain you say. Then Obama, because he is a descendant of a race some of whom came to the U.S. as slaves, doesn't have the same eligibility requirements as the white man, McCain? But then, this hearing is one of six held because McCain wan’t born on sovereign U.S. territory. No hearings were ever held about Obama, in spite of many, including Commander Charles Kerchner, sent registered letters to congress persons asking them to vet Obama’s eligibility.

No congressman, except Georgia Congressman Nathan Deal, asked for proof of eligibility. The answer to Deal was to dig through his old income taxes and find some excuse to raise ethics charges in the Democrat-controlled ethics committee. Deal resigned, and become Governor of Georgia - one of our heroes.

A Dozen supreme court justices have cited the common-law principle which is variously called natural born Citizenship, birthright citizenship, or Native citizenship, and which means “born on the soil of citizen parents.” Our State Department, after the 14th Amendment, created the term Obama used to define his own status, “Native born citizen of the U.S.” which means born on our soil, but not necessarily of citizen parents.” Obama was honest. He was not born of citizen parents, and no legislator has had the integrity or courage to acknowledge the emperor's admission.

You say “But that all changed with the 14th Amendment.” “The 14th Amendment re-defined who was a natural born Citizen.” You have been told that by so many “authorities” that the prevalence of the misconception is no surprise. Here are the words from the Congressional Record (Called The Globe) by the author of the 14th Amendment, Ohio Congressman John Bingham, who was also the judge who prosecuted the conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln:

I find no fault with the introductory clause [S 61 Bill], which is simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen….

You say “But Wong Kim Ark made citizens and natural born citizens equivalent.” No, the 14th Amendment never mentions natural born citizenship, and if don't trust my claim, read Wong Kim Ark. The first citation by Justice Horace Gray is to fix the definition of natural born Citizen, using the 1874 statement from Chief Justice Morrison Waite printed below. Waite also clarifies that the definition comes form our common-law, from which came most definitions used in the Constitution:

“The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners.

Obama is clearly ineligible to be President. He is not a Constitutional president, by definition. As long as we pretend, turn our heads for whatever reason, we have established the precedent that our executive and legislative branches determine when the Constitution is effective. It was always about allegiance. A child inherits allegiance from his parents. The British didn't even allow naturalized citizens to be in Parliament. Our Constitution permits naturalized citizens to every office but President and Vice President. Obama and McCain are naturalized citizens. It has nothing to do with, and would be unaffected by discovery of a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate.

My guess is that you don't know what QED means because you certainly haven't demonstrated anything. He also needs to have citizen parents.

You haven't put forth any argument for which there is a Q.E.D.. There are plenty of reasons to believe that Obama was not born in Hawaii, a few of which are: no official records that he was born in Hawaii, differing accounts of which hospital he was supposedly born in in Hawaii with no official corroboration of those accounts, differing birth dates given by Obama sources, his grandmother's contention that she was at his birth in Kenya, Kenyan officials' statements that he was born in Kenya, newspaper stories from early in his political career stating that he was Kenyan-born. These are just a few and may be entirely explicable; however, one certainly cannot say that they are not reasons for doubting a Hawaiian birth, especially in the absence of anything other than conflicting Obama stories claiming otherwise.
