I am certain that no Boeing aircraft has flown the entire management of the company into the ground and killed them all.

That’s because they’d never all be allowed to fly in the same plane per company policy. (the company’s “key man” insurance policies would contain a rider to prohibit this)

Duh! Years ago it was shown that the A380 is too big to use existing airports/taxiways.

Kill one executive for every passenger killed on one of the company’s airliners.

Or, if there’s a crash caused by the airplane’s construction, randomly pick an equal number of company employees from the factory floor .....

The video does not show the few seconds before the collision and I wonder how the left wing of the jumbo managed to miss the smaller aircraft's rudder.

The flight crew of the jumbo probably should have seen the smaller aircraft, since it was apparently in their field of forward vision. The flight crew of the smaller aircraft did not likely see the jumbo, which struck to their rear.

Whoever managed to take the video presumably saw what was about to happen; the ground controllers stationed in the tower must somehow have missed it and apparently were unaware of it until called by the flight crew of the smaller aircraft.

Not exactly.

They all have schedules that take them all sorts of places all the time, and they rarely have occasion to be grouped on a fight, and when they are, which does happen on rare occasions, they do fly together on the BBJ, like to the Paris Airshow or Farnborough/RIAT.

My 15hr flight on a 777 from LAX to Dubai on Emerites was the best. Quality of the business class cabin was wonderful, too include a true lay-flat bed, and when you were ready for a long nap, the stewardesses (nice young pretty Asian ones) got a small mattress, sheets and blanket, and made a nice bed for you.

Something to be said about foreign carriers, nice, friendly beautiful stewardesses. They are nothing like the burnt-out, old and angry “flight attendants” one finds on American flagged carriers.

My sentiments exactly!! Whenever I’m on a taxiing airplane, I can’t help looking both ways down the runways. I’m always mindful of the horrible tragedy in Tenerife, when an Air France jet, taking off, didn’t realize a Pan Am jet was still on the runway, and just sheared the top off it.

Well, that is really simple....it DIDN'T.

The outer left wing of the A380 hit the rudder/vert stab of the RJ.

He undoubtedly did see him, but the RJ was probably moving into the alley as the A380 cockpit went by, then stopped unexpectedly short.

I assume both pilots will get dinged by NTSB, the RJ for not clearing the taxiway as instructed, and the A380 for not keeping an adequate distance from the RJ (although that is damned hard to judge, exacerbated by night, lights, rain etc).

Mine was on an A380 Emirates Airlines from Dubai to Sydney. The seat goes pretty much all the way flat and has some really nice massage features(they also provide matresses). The seat is pretty much like a mini cabin, you have your own mini bar and a huge screen infront of you with some of the newest movies and like 1000 others. There is a bar where you can take a seat order a drink or a snack. The food is amazing, and you get a menu of dishes which you can order anytime during the flight.
Boeing do probably make better planes when it comes to safety (probably by a margin of like 0.05%) and I personally would trade that 0.05% for the comfort of the A380.

I think the NTSB will fault solely the Airbus. The RJ was clearing the taxiway and, if you look at the video, you can see there is a truck in front of the jet requiring the RJ to slow/stop.

The ultimate blame will be the Airbus because he did not ensure proper clearance before he attempted to taxi past the RJ.
