I stand by what I said earlier - Harry was playing games. I also find it ironic that Harry Reid is citing the unity of the Republic when he himself is to blame for so much of the country's present divisiveness and downright criminality under his watch as a "public servant". Harry really does think he knows better and is better than the average American; therefore the pseudo intellectual games that appeal to a certain percentage of his leftist, liberal constituency. He appeals and plays to the self satisfied arrogance in his chosen demographic.

Always remember, Harry has a certain disdain for the great "unwashed":

I don't disagree with you. He not only feels contempt for the great unwashed intellectually, he feels entitled to take personal financial advantage of them as well. I am quite familiar with his spate of real estate scams, particularly outright theft of water rights.

I should have added, Why take askance to Reid's omission of "under God" from a socialist-inspired pledge to the almighty state, when his overt criminality is what needs addressing.

Especially when the Messiah forbade taking oaths.
