The Donald is not a conservative BUT..
April 17 - 2011 | Myself

Posted on 04/17/2011 10:29:27 AM PDT by JosephSmithNAW

I vigorously support his presence in the GOP primaries.

1. He is raising the birth certificate issue and giving em hell. So far I like it.

2. He is an aggressive candidate and not afraid to throw any kind of punches at Obama. If it is there to be attacked, Trump so far is not hesitating to attack it. Perhaps that kind of no holds barred attitude will catch on with at least some of the rest of the GOP field

3. Third and MOST IMPORTANT reason. Trump might end up doing hefty damage to Mitt Romney's campaign. That is if he keeps polling these same kind of polling numbers. Romney and the rest of the RINOs drink from the same trough. The more such jokers there are, the more the votes get split

Romney wants to play Elder Statesman, and Young Maverick at the same time. Its like a Just For Men commercial

The problem with your theory is, A lifelong moderate Democrat, Trump, is about to win the nomination with the enthusastic support of FR and the TEA party.

A high price to pay to get rid of Romney and Soetoro.

TRUMP HEAD FAKE?

My post:

“He isn’t going to be elected or even nominated. He is hurting the other side. Only elite blue blood party hack liberals think otherwise” ~ LibLieSlayer

Yes, he IS “hurting” Obama.

Hypothetical:

If he doesn’t get the GOP nomination, and switches parties to run as a Democrat against Obama, how many “conservative” votes will he get, do you think.....hummmmmm?

For your consideration:

“I saw the crowd wanted him to talk about Soros but he didn’t want to”

A billionaire who will say anything to get elected. That’s my impression.

Remember Scott Brown? Remember last year when the Republicans said they were going to pass all these tough new immigration laws.

In 2008, Barack Obama was anti-war and was going to fix the economy. You can’t judge politicians by what they say.

I am assuming just posting a link doesn’t violate copyright issues here but this cartoon sums up Mitt Romney very well

Cannot vouch for the politics of that site. Its a cartoon I found on Google search

Trump has said nothing to indicate that he intends to run as an Independent, has he?

Said if he runs it would be on the Republican ticket.

I want someone to knock the guy in the oval office around. Works for me.Just so long as when he gets tired of running he drops out for good and does not hang around as an independent to siphon votes away from the Republican general election candidate.

I agree. I'm hoping the byproduct of Trump's theatrics is that the folks vying for the Republican nomination realize that we want someone who will not cower before the media and the P.C. gestapo, and will not shy away from harsh, uncensored criticism of Obama. In more old-fashioned words, someone willing to tell it like it is. This is the lesson to be learned here, and aside from perhaps Palin, Cain or Bachmann I don't see many willing students.

If we enter the race with a candidate who lives by "The Accepted Topics of Discussion about Obama and How to Express Them" as authored by the liberal media we are giving the advantage to the left and our nation is finished.

"In fact, in the end, the biggest benefactor of Trump may very well be Palin."

You are absolutely correct. It's a symbiotic relationship.

Donald attacks directly the fact that Obama is not one of us. He's foreign born, raised in a foreign religion...and steeped in radical communism. He has put blood in the water most certainly.

Then Palin attacks what Obama has done WHILE IN OFFICE...how he kowtows to foreign leaders...prefers foreign energy companies over US energy companies...abandons our traditional allies etc.

Palin is in the same groove, she's just more sophisticated. She also NEEDS Trump to set the table.

Synergy.

LOL...I think I have seen that one before.

Yes Romney has many positions on everything. I am surprised he does not get hurt physically from all of them

Baja Condos - spending like the Dims led to bankruptcy.

“I think he has a chance to go down as a great president. Now, if he’s not a great president, this country is in serious trouble,” said Trump. “I think [Obama’s] going to lead through consensus,” continued Trump. “It’s not going to be just a bull run like Bush did. He just did whatever the hell he wanted. He’d go into a country, attack Iraq, which had nothing to do with the World Trade Center and
just do it because he wanted to do it.”

Donated to Reid over Angle, Crist over Rubio, Specter over Toomey, about the only conservative sounding statement made with his money was to Karl Rove.

“I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors” – When he last considered running for President in 2009.

“I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare. Our objective [should be] to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well-administered, and provides freedom of choice. Possible? The good news is, yes. There is already a system in place-the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program-that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through a centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market-based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year participants can choose from plans which vary in benefits and costs.”

Go out and do a bit of research on Romney lite...

Yes, a few days ago there was the suggestion (trial balloon?) that if he wasn’t nominated as a Republican, he would go as an independent.

A lot of what that billionaire businessman said in 1992 came true. Huge deficits, loss of good paying jobs and economy based on paper schemes have all came to weaken US. Maybe this time we get behind a billionaire businessman saying the same thing, we will not split our votes and win.

Also intimately familiar with bankruptcy, having declared it personally many times.

Careful, according to Greta, The Donald has threatend lawsuit against others who have accused him of that.

IF the FREEP is enamored with Chump, there is no hope for Republicans.

He is more a politician than any other candidate other than Obama (who was manufactured).

He was a Nancy Pelosi fan for crying out loud. What more does anyone need to hear?

" I think Romney knows he has a major problem with Trump running. Trump has gone to the right of him (Obama Birth, Commie China) yet Romney really cannot raise the “Trump is a Liberal” issue so many are trying to do here on FR....Romney is pretty left himself "

That must explain Karl Rove's, the MSM's and others for the attacks on Trump, because they see their favorite Romney losing out this time.

Many here have said that they might not vote for Trump even IF he runs.... and even if he does not run ? why attack him for bringing up important issues ? China ? the Oil ? nope, it's the birth certificate issue.

Trump has said nothing to indicate that he intends to run as an Independent, has he?

He said he would if the polls indicated that he could win.
