I find it interesting that there are people out there that are willing to destroy America’s way of life for a lizard, a bug, a frog, a fish, etc. These people need to be put in a loony bin for the rest of their lives.

The only hope any of us have, including the people of West Texas, is that we can survive until obastard and his band of enviro-wack-jobs leave. obastard is like the Wicked Witch of the West and the wack-jobs that follow him are like the monkey trolls who mindlessly do his bidding to destroy the country.

I am consumed with the most virulent strain of contempt for the obastard vermin gang.

These stupid lizards were ubiquitous when I worked in the Permian Basin. So were rattlesnakes and scorpions. The cotton farmers in the Robertson Unit were lucky to have oil revenues ‘cause it wasn’t much count for farming.

There’s a 6 foot lizard in D.C. who’s out to destroy an entire country.

I realize Freepers aren't stupid, but for any liberals peering in here reading this: drilling for oil is a loud activity. Big trucks, lots of them, cars, trucks, cranes, drilling supplies, etc being delivered to a site. If a lizard is too stupid to run away from that amount of activity and noise, it wouldn't survive long anyway.

Environazis have tried for years to end Rattlesnake Round Ups too - destroying their habitat, murdering them will eventually end the rattlesnakes..... uh, yeah that hasn't happened. The lizards will survive.

Somebody needs to take a moment to prove this lizard is NOT unique or endangered.

This scam has gone on for far too long!

How about our Texas Horned Toad? Their main diet is harvester ants and the population of harvester ants has been demolished by our fire ant population.

They can use that lizard for an excuse to shut down oil, but it is weak at best. Our ‘endangered’ horned toad could use some help. Wipe out fire ants. If they can’t help the horned toad, they need to bow out of this artificially trumped up maneuver to deprive us of our fossil energy.

Jackasses.

“Could a three-inch lizard collapse the West Texas oil industry?”

Under the rule of the current administration, absolutely.
Almost guaranteed.
In fact, it’s to be expected.

Just sayin’...

This is 100% about the planned destruction of America, pure and simple!

It has noting whatsoever to do with a lizard, toad, bug fish tree, clean air or anything else. Only a fool would believe such nonsense!

When I lived in W. TX as a kid, these lizards were the payload for our Estes rockets. We learned about the asbestos wadding needed after launching the rocket, engine blew the nose cone off, but welded the plastic parachute to the lizard.

We had no shortage of alternate payloads. They’re everywhere.

If the lizard is in danger or endangered, just KILL THEM ALL. Then they will be extinct and no longer an issue. Drill, baby, drill.

It will only happen if the state allows it to. The states need to retake control of the resources within their boundaries and tell the feds that their control is over. The federal control over state resources has been unconstitutional from the beginning.

Ridiculous! I can’t imagine the people of West Texas letting
a stupid thing like this take place. The darn lizard and the
drilling operations have existed side by side all these many
years without interference of the federal government...and
will continue to WITHOUT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S poking it’s
nose in our business. This administration would like nothing
better than to shut down oil production in order to pimp
their ideas of “toy” electric cars. Ain’t happening here, baby!

No doubt in my mind.

If THEY could GAIN something by ELIMINATING a lizard THEY would do that.
But this lizard (probably planted there) is not a gain.

We need studies to make sure this lizard has been there since day one. /s
