The 5 Best Ways to Destroy Andrew Breitbart
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Chris Queen

Posted on 04/26/2011 11:11:52 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

I can’t remember who told me this: “People don’t attack you unless they see you as a threat.”

The Left’s biggest targets — from Rush Limbaugh to Ronald Reagan — have been the ones who were capable of the most damage to the progressive cause. That adage must apply to Andrew Breitbart, because the Left hasn’t stopped trying to discredit him and bring him down.

Breitbart has emerged as one of the leading soldiers on the front lines of the cultural war between the Right and the Left. He has called himself a “reluctant cultural warrior,” yet he is unafraid to dive head-first into controversy. Whether he’s calling out the NAACP for accusing Tea Party activists of racism, going toe to toe with the tools at Media Matters, or facing down the worst interviewer in the world, Martin Bashir, Breitbart confronts the Left head on.

His websites — Breitbart.com, Breitbart.tv, Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism, and Big Peace — are popular, and they effectively and often irreverently expose the Left for who they really are. The release of his new book, Righteous Indignation: Excuse Me While I Save The World, along with the ensuing book tour and media appearances, have made him an even bigger target as of late.

Andrew Breitbart has been subject to some of the most vicious charges by the Left lately. These assaults range from libel lawsuits and other attempts to paint him as a liar to ugly, uncalled-for personal attacks. These barrages may be different in nature, but they are all vicious in their attempts to drag Breitbart through the mud, and ultimately to end his career.

The following is a list of five of the most vicious attacks on Andrew Breitbart.

Breitbart is a patriot.

His enemies are America hating evildoers.

Breitbart lost me when he threw a party for GOProud.

He's not as smart as he thinks he is.

I think he’s very smart, but that doesn’t mean he’s perfect. He’s doing great work, and I for one will not kick him to the curb on a single issue. Until Jesus comes back, we will forever have flawed leaders.

Wasn’t he snuggling up with fags at CPAC?

AH well-there isn't a person in the world that meet all of the issues we care about with the same degree of opinion. None of us can even agree from time to time.

Nobody's perfect. And nobody is fully informed.

It is Andrew's defiance and unwillingness to let 'the lies' go forward that enchants me. He is out there fighting the battle and getting smacked for it, and still standing and giving it right back, locked and loaded.

Agreed. I really admire what Breitbart has done, and he is brilliant at publicizing his attacks on the enemy.

But his support for GOProud shows, I am afraid, that he cannot be trusted.

Nothing wrong with showing consideration and commiseration for homosexuals. But GOProud is a homosexual ACTIVIST group, whose only real interest is to shove the homosexual agenda down our throats, and split the conservative movement in the process. It’s nothing but the Log Cabin Repubolicans redux, after that group wore out its welcome.

Breitbart made a huge mistake when he gave his implicit support to a group that seeks “protected class” status. Personally, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he makes the same mistake again, then it’s not a mistake - - it’s a great big red flag.

On page 3 of the article there is a vid of Breitbart confronting a group of protesters. I did a search for ‘Eugene Winkler’. He’s a socialist ‘minister’.

Well, what bothered me about it is that he didn’t just join GOProud because he was quietly asked. He stepped in at the very moment when CPAC was breaking down, leaders were being fired for destroying it, conservatives were staying away while Paulites and RINOs were taking advantage, and the whole conservative movement was being rocked.

That indicates to me that it was a very deliberate and conscious decision, not just some sort of casual mistake.

I think he’s very smart, but that doesn’t mean he’s perfect.

If he was so smart, he'd know that GOProud is nothing but a front-group with the sole purpose of dividing the Republican party from its social conservative base for the benefit of their own agenda. Endorsing them only helps to further that goal.

If he actually is smart enough to realize that, then he's part of the problem.

Take your pick.

After that, I am forced to look with suspicion on everything else he does.

Bingo. When given a choice between Hollyweird and traditional values, Andrew told you right there which side he's on. He's not to be trusted by conservatives. He will eventually pull the rug out from under your feet.
