Bobby Jindal, Allen West & Hermain Cain. All good picks.

See Article 2 Section 5 of the Constitution. The first Presidents were grand-fathered in (in bold).

5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution , shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

If that were the case the millions of anchor babies are all eligible as well.

The Founders cited Vatel for very serious reasons.

For quite a long time ...way back in the 20th C ...Limbaugh parroted the current US Chamber of Commerce line that "illegal immigration was the sign of a vibrant and healthy economy."

I remember campaigning for B-1 Bob Dornan, and we were desperate to get Limbaugh to say something about illegal immigration and vote fraud (Ironically Dornan himself had been very weak on illegal immigration until he was re-districted and Sanchez stole his job!)

There is nothing wrong with Rush Limbaugh. There's a lot wrong with a political party that elevates disc jockeys into political philosophers because no one in the party addresses the base for fear of alienating the center. The real question is a"chicken and egg" issue. Does Rush(and the others) (a.) preach to a choir that he recognizes as a market? Or (b.) did he create the choir ... and the market? What is the (a)/(b) ratio? I say 90/10.

Once he got off the drugs, got his ears fixed, and stopped screaming, I returned as a listener. But, he has been, and is, absent on the eligibilty debate ... and never seems to get the facts or the terminology right. What a service he could do explaining Article II!
In regard to the effect he has on voters: IMHO, negligible ... e.g., turnout of the base for McCain was very low.

In 2008, Limbaugh would not TOUCH the Obama in Kenya /Odinga story during the campaign. It was handed to him on a silver platter, by me. In all fairness, neither would McCain! (Neither would anyone else, except G. Gordon Liddy.)

Rush is not a political philosopher. He is not a journalist. He is a broadcaster. He is a genius of his medium whose job it is to sell radio time in affiliated radio markets and he does that better than anyone ever has. He does it with a political talk show. Remarkable.

Interesting.

I sent Rush and O’Reilly the stories about the Democrats going to Indonesia in July, 2007, and buying up all the documents pertaining to Obama and Soetoro family photographs.

Nothing. Crickets.

Would have been nice to hear some juicy information, like he used to do about the Clintons, but no. It was usually golf or football he talked about.

Do you reckon that everyone who does not promote Palin must be afraid of her? How about Lima beans. I don't like 'em, don't recommend 'em. Does that mean I'm afraid of Lima beans? Or just that I don't like them? If you're less than 1 billion percent behind her, her supporters will say you're afraid of her. Simply using their positioning.

Is Rush that stupid???...Bobby Jindal is not a natural born citizen. He was born 5 months after his parents arrived in the United States. His parents had an allegiance to another country, India. They were unable for 5 years to become a naturalized citizen. IF they had been naturalized citizens upon Jindal's birth he'd qualify...they were not so JINDAL DOES NOT QUALIFY to RUN for PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENT.

You still didn’t support your claim (or even try to), all you said there, is that you don’t like the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

You still didn’t support your claim (or even try to),

Short of providing you with tapes from 13 years ago, you will just have to take the word of myself, and others who listened to the man at the time. As I recall, he actually addressed the American Chamber of Commerce at one point. Perhaps Rush's staff can help you.

...all you said there, is that you don’t like the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

Au contraire. I listen quite often. Rush is a great radio man and in perspective, very entertaining.

Still no support of your lonely claim, and I’m sorry that Rush doesn’t accept your programming suggestions that you e-mail him.

Coulter, Levin, Rush, Beck, Hannity, the kraut, Tokyo Rove,

1-5 all earn my badge of opprobrium. I admire Coulter's pen. So, I detest her the least. Levin, Rush, Beck, Hannity ... well Levin has a brain, the others I ain't so sure.
"the kraut?" Have to wait for my Alzheimer's counselor to make that connection.
I absolutely loathe, detest, abominate, and make scathing remarks about Karl Rove. In my feeble defense, allow me to point out that the guy is no "conservative." I also admire (jealous of, really) his success in extracting huge sums from the RNC, with nary a result! That is talent. Up here we call it "sellin' hosshiite back to the hoss." May punch'im out the next time I see him for his scurrilous behaviour in 2010.

Faves: Alan West, Jude Wanniski, Arthur Laffer, George Putnam, Sheriff Joe, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Dwight Eisenhower, Warren G, Harding, General George H. Thomas, G. Gordon Liddy, The Pope, etc. ad inf.

And thank you for asking!

We already had one latino-pandering open border Republican president. We don’t need to try that again with Marco Rubio.

George Putnam

KB, I know why I admire the late great George Putnam, cuz I listened to him a zillion times on the old KIEV. But how did you manage to run across him down east?

Before leaving California by popular demand, I lived in Santa Monica and the Palisades and listened to George. I even caught his last Rose Parade appearance. It was he who introduced me to B1 Bob Dornan.
And the rest is history. LA Radio: Jane Seymour and George Putnam. Figure that one out.
