CBS ANCHOR: Trump is racist...
Daily Mail ^ | DAILY MAIL REPORTER

A senior CBS news anchor today labelled Donald Trump's campaign to raise doubts about President Obama's school grades as an 'ugly strain of racism'.

Face The Nation host Bob Schieffer made the comments in the wake of Mr Trump's calls yesterday for Mr Obama to release college transcripts 'proving' he had the grades to enter Columbia and Harvard.

The attack came as new research suggested viewers for Celebrity Apprentice - some of the most liberal for any TV show - were deserting the program due to Mr Trump's outspoken rants against Mr Obama.

The furore came soon after the President released his full birth certificate - finally putting the question of his citizenship beyond reasonable doubt.

Yesterday Mr Trump called on the President to release his college transcripts.

Reacting to the call, Mr Schieffer said: 'That's just code for saying he got into law school because he's black. 'This is an ugly strain of racism that's running through this whole thing.'

Donald Trump is just the newest enemy of the Obamunist State, ala Emanuel Goldstein.

He was a hero of the Left for supporting Hillary, and the Limousine Liberals brayed like sheep trying to get in to his fancy dress parties.

Then, he turns on his media-adored master, and becomes the MOST HATED MAN IN AMERICA, according to the mainstream media. This is the prevalent meme.
If you DARE to question a DEMOCRAT, or Democrat policy, you must be NUTZ!, you’re KRAZY!!!, you’re INSANE!.

“You don’t want to be associated with THOSE crazy people, do you? I thought you were smart!”

As Evidence, I’ll note this Facebook posting today, from someone (white) who I know isn’t very politically aware:

“Donald Trump has become a sad caracature of “the Man” of white society, an exploiter with a sense of superiority and entitlement.

I think it is so embarassing that our first African-American President was forced to “show his papers” as... if he is just some punk on the streets being targeted by a racist white police officer.

We’ve had lots of presidents who were not nearly as academically accomplished as our current president but since they were white this went unquestioned. It’s a stain, an embarassment, on American Whites in this country, that they took things to this degree with out first black President.

The implication is that a black president is somehow less competant, less capable, less intelligent, and less trustworthy than a white president. It’s a horrible embarassment, and I’m apalled.”

The framing works, and it sinks in to the psyche. Truth and fact no longer matter, anymore, just the meme.

And you thought “1984” was just a book?

“Maybe its time to out shout these lunatics with: “It’s not about his race, It’s about his lousy leftist ideology!”....”

You see??
This works EXACTLY as it’s designed to.
Instead of discussing why the Democrat policy du jour is bad, you are forced to defend yourself from being called a racist.

And once that happens, any sensible conversation is lost. It’s not about whether you REALLY ARE a racist or not, it’s about SHUTTING YOU UP.

Good point, if a bit discouraging.

My response to anyone who claims my opposition to an Obama policy is 'racist' is this: knowing my political convictions (Reagan Republican) do you seriously believe that I wouldn't have the same opposing view were the same policies being implemented by a white president, i.e. Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter? Do you really think I would approve of massive federal deficits, socialized health care, refusing to drill for U.S.-based oil, etc if a white man were the president behind them? The obvious answer to this rhetorical question is: no. The point being that, for most conservatives, our opposition to Obama is based on his policies and Marxist political ideology. His race is irrelevant.

That liberals are quick to use 'the race card' to deflect criticism of Obama demonstrates the speciousness of their position of attempting to, not really defend Obama's policies, but redirect attention away from them by introducing race into a discussion about policy, thus putting opponents of Obama on the defensive and changing the direction of the discussion from Obama's policies to the oppositions alleged 'racism'. Clever - but wearing thin from overuse. Millions of non-racist white people who are deeply concerned about the failing U.S. economy (and many other issues) won't forever allow their criticisms and concerns to be shunted aside by a leftist shouting 'racism!'. I won't - and neither should any other critic of Obama's feckless, destructive policies.

Bob Schieffer needs a new pair of Depends. Give the old guy a break. He is like the grandpa who sits and rambles about “how things were back in ought-five”... and complains about the new tangled contraptions on the streets.

That is the other side of the affirmative action coin.

One side is promote the guy regardless of his abilities or qualifications. The other is when he can’t do the job, accuse everyone in sight of being a racist.

A good exercize I pulled on my San Francisco uber left cousin. I emailed her a resume of baraq. Left out race and gender. I asked her if she would hire this person to take over as her boss. She answered pretty much hell no.
Her words, “this guy has never run anything so how can he run the country?”

Then I filled in the blanks.

Boy was she pissed.

“That’s just code for saying he got into law school because he’s black.”

But weren’t his grades in college mediocre? How else would he get into Harvard Law School? That is the hardest school in the nation to get into! How else could he possibly get in?

I have come to realize that people who play the race card and label others as “racist” are in actuality racists themselves. Publicly calling others “racist” is pretty much a projection issue any more.

You are going to ruin the whole set-up by applying logic to the situation. Uh, he did get into Harvard JUST because he is black. Facts are such stubborn things...

Hope Shieffer and CBS enjoy the libel/slander lawsuit that Trump will predictably file against them.

Trump is a private person but a public figure. He would have a very hard time meeting the burden of proof. However, I agree with you that the only way to stop the BS from the liberal media is to sue them until their eyes bleed. It just needs to be the right plaintiff.
