Geraldo just announced Obama will make some sort of statement in 30 minutes. Geraldo says this is unusually late and figures it has something to do with Libya.
That's certainly a rent-a-mob, but you usually don't see them waving the Stars and Stripes. :)

Here is what I think happened.
The story was going to be we got him a week ago and just got back the DNA results.
But then something happened behind the scenes..and they decided that story is going to be a problem - for whatever reason- diplomatic issues, whatever..
so an hour goes by while they decided what to do..
and now the story is we got him today.

Watching al Jazeera. They are covering the demonstrations in front of the WH. I am sure the WH does not want these demonstrations at the WH. It will inflame the Muslim world, if there is such a thing. I would not want to be at one of our embassies today. We will be at high security alert for some time to come.
IF Obama gave the order TODAY as he said in his speech...yet the DNA is done and we killed him last week.......did he really ever give the order? If he did the timeline shouldn’t be so confusing with conflicting accounts.

Don’t think it is a factor. maybe a 3 on a scale of ten. Certainly doesn’t hurt, but if the economy is still in the toilet, there will be a new President in 2013.
As a reality point, this is a great event, but really not overly significant. It is unlikely the guy had much at all to do with AQ operations. Obama hasn’t mentioned OBL anytime in my memory since the campaign. It is a positive event, but doesn’t get anyone a job or fill their gas tank or grocery cart.
I think the delay was WHOLLY to get the “spontaneous” gathering of kolledge kids in front of the WH. Optics . . .
CNN analyst just said that killing Bin Laden is the end of the global War on Terror. I guess we won!
