Are you saying that Mohammed is the most popular name if you include all variant spellings? That sort of defeats your entire point.
As in Mohammed, Mohamed, Muhmad, Moammar, etc. THEN it's number one. It's just not number one if you count each variant spelling as a different name...?
You nitpick on spelling even though their parents’ intents were
similar. The fact that there are so many variants could even be seen
as worse, in fact. Britain is taking in and nonassimilating Muslims from
so many countries. Hanging on spelling is ignoring the problem
