This is a travesty. Those men have been asking for security of details since the mission and they’ve been ignored for blatantly political reasons.

First, the operational details released will endanger them and other special operators on future missions.

Next, it will endanger them personally as nuts try to search them out.

Third, it will give ideas on methods to other nations’ special operation forces.

Finally, it will endanger the nation in that the release of details makes future missions that much harder to accomplish.

This is the TERRIBLE after-effect of the blatant rush to the camera by Obama and other glory hounds from John McCain to Geraldo Rivera....who actually broadcast a former special operator last week pleading that details not be pursued because it endangers lives.

As the story changes again and again, people started asking questions. Now they hide behind national security.

Still don’t know how (or why) a helicopter can fly the body 200+ miles to Afghanistan, unload, do DNA and facial testing, reload, take off and fly 800-1000 miles to a US ship, hold a Muslim prayer ritual, dump the body in the sea...all in 8 hours. Not saying Osama is alive. Just saying the official story, that keeps changing, smells. 8 hours? Muslim ritual is within 24 hours of death. What was the hurry?

We did not need to know SEALs were even involved. Our men would have been much safer if we had simply been told a “Special Operations Unit” took him out. No need to know they were SEALs or what...absolutely no need to know which Team, and no need to know any other units that may have been involved. We didn’t need to know the name of the ship he was deep-sixed from. The details should have been kept need to know and our men and their families would be much safer.

There is so much we didn’t need to tell Al Queda either, no need for them to know what we found...just crazy to blab all these things to the bad guys. I cannot even imagine what this Administration was thinking- clueless all of them.

That picture is more accurate than you may know.

A friend of mine has a son in the military. He buys a throw-away phone so he can speak his mind re: Zero and not get caught/in trouble.

It’s all the tea baggers’ fault. Had they not wiped the floor with the Dems last mid-term, they wouldn’t be chest thumping over the one thing they got right.

Biden’s not evil, just stupid and senile. He’s the anti-Quail.

We didn’t need to know what branch of service they were involved with, even if one specific one wasn’t truly the operational service.

We didn’t need to know the type of special team.

We didn’t need to know the name of the special team.

We didn’t need to know the complete methods used to get into the compound.

We didn’t need to hear a blow by blow of what took place.

The next time this unit is used, it’s operational methods are going to be on the table, and it’s targets scared into fighting it out to the last man, even if that means a suicide bombing.

Our President is clueless.
Our Vice President is clueless.
Our top level appointees are clueless.
Too many people knew inside details and too many of them were willing to spill their guts.

This and other Democrat administrations don’t think in national security terms. They don’t understand it. They have no personal instincts geared to ‘play it safe’, or thinking before they do anything. They spill their guts and then slither off into the night, leaving death and destruction in their wake.

There are times when I criticize Republican administrations. One area that I don’t criticize them for, is their handling of top secret information. Their military and national security related appointees generally have a clue. They understand the need for secrecy. They do as much as they can to protect our troops and assets on the ground.

The present administration is roughly comparable to handing the keys to you new $250k car, to a nine year old. While you want to criticize the kid, you know damned well it was the grown-ups fault for giving him access.

The citizens of the U.S. gave Obama access. Heaven help our troops, and the citizens of our nation.

If military operational secrecy were important, we’d have denied the whole thing for at least a week while we ran people to ground using intelligence gathered at the compound.

Those fine men have been betrayed by their CIC, there is just no getting around that.

This president had a solemn duty to protect them and all operational details. It was his job to demand secrecy.

He ignored his duty for the sake of a temporary bump in the polls. His popularity was more important than their safety.

This is not leadership, this is not greatness, this is not American.

There is no telling what opportunities in capturing other information or other leaders were totally ruined by the White House rush to get in front of the camera.

This is criminal violation of national secrecy for political purposes.

They have no moral high ground on which to stand while complaining about Assange and Wiki-Leaks.

I don’t believe it can be said better than you and smoothsailing said it.

Obama has betrayed our military of whom he is the CINC. There’s nothing he can now do to make up for this even if he wanted to which I know he doesn’t.

A person with even an ounce of integrity would resign but of course he has none and won’t.

GREAT listing! Every single one of these sociopathic traits is evident in 0dumb0 the RAT bastard socialist commie pig-in-chief. Personally I hope that 0dumb0 destroys himself prior to the 2012 election, because I am concerned that American voters have become so socialistic & dumbed down by our media & anti-American, anti-Christian educational system, that 0dumb0 would likely win the next election. Especially when there appears to be no Repub (other than Hermann Cain) with the cajones to actually attack the socialist nature of 0dumb0.

I hope & pray that God himself will harden & destroy the mind of 0dumb0, just as he did to Pharaoh during Moses time, and later also destroyed the mind of Nebuchadnezzar for his pride & arrogance.

What if Osama was under house arrest and known to us? We’d get all the intel we need.

Why mention anything about him? Why ever say what we did ever? Take him to a secret facility and using enhanced methods get him to rat out his entire network. Staying silent all the time as we dismantled it. The only reason to announce this at all is political desperation.

Nothing’s kosher about the entire episode.

Without a doubt, Obama is a textbook sociopath.

When did China get the wreckage of the downed helo?
(I'm guessing that is the "helicopter" you are referring to)

Do you have a link to that story?
