Huckabee Opts Against 2012 White House Bid

Mike Huckabee said Saturday there would be no sequel to his surprisingly strong 2008 White House bid, in which he won the Iowa Republican caucus and finished second in the primaries to Sen. John McCain.

"All the factors say go, but my heart says no," Huckabee, who was considered the GOP frontrunner in several national polls, said on his Fox News Channel show.

Before his announcement Saturday night, Huckabee hadn't shared his decision with his closest advisers.

Many of those advisers predicted Huckabee wouldn't run.

Ed Rollins, who was Huckabee's national campaign chairman for the 2008 campaign, said he expected this decision after Huckabee had broken off communications with him about a week ago.

You are so right about Huck and his TV gig. This is his niche, and he knows it. Good for him, good for us.

“People don’t vote for nut jobs.”

So, don’t run.

Don't misunderstand me. I merely made the observation that two women on the ticket together - where we have never had either office filled by a woman = would not get elected.

I like them both - but would rather see Bachman stay where she is and rise to the top.

As to Sarah - here's MY dream team:

for 8 years and then switch them around for another 8.

After 16 years, the Ship of our country would be righted and the enemies wouldn't even see the wake.

"People don’t vote for nut jobs.”

That would explain the sparse support and meager encouragement I've received over the years...

They couldn't win one state.

Did you bump your head before you wrote that?

Perhaps. But who ever thought that a black guy with a muslim name that sounds eerily similar to an arch terrorist who was close friends with a racist preacher and a domestic terror mastermind and a guy who got caught flat out plagiarizing his entire campaign from a UK Labour leader would ever be elected as Pres/VP?

Whoever thought a guy from AR who dodged the draft and lied about it, was well known to be a rabid womanizer, had used drugs in his past, would ever be elected?

Those things happened with the complete support of the MSM, which is still very powerful and influences a large portion of the electorate.

If people think like YOU, your tagline is the future.

You wouldn’t be voting for Little Stevie Dunham....

You’d be voting for Soros and Maurice Strong and the U.N.

Personally, I’d vote for a wet rag over Little Stevie Dunham.

It would do less harm.

Ain’t gonna happen with this child.

Exactly. At this point in time, the country needs a war time President and Huck is just too nice. If we are going to be in two wars and possible three, we need one mean ass SOB.

I think it will be interesting to watch too. I think they may reserve the vocal support for a time...I don’t think Romney is going to be as formadabile as some think..I think the stench of the Massa2chits health care is going to stick to him. I don’t think the other candidates who are against 0bamacare are going to let him get away with a slick answer. So who with the Huck fans support? Time will tell.

He only finished 2nd because he stayed in long after he was certain to lose, in a vain hope that he’d be picked to be VP.

I believe they are getting less powerful everyday. What did Newsweak sell for recently?

Newsweek is a magazine, none of which are doing well.

More people get their news from TV than anywhere else. For example about 22 million people watch the networks evening news. Nothing else comes close, certainly not the few million who watch Fox. Most newspapers are also liberal.

Make no mistake, the MSM is just as powerful now as when they helped push Obama down our throats and they will put everything into doing it again.

I get newsweak out of the blue for free. They did add some new writers but are nowhere close to portraying the truth. Hell, I know more secrets than they do and there isn’t anything bad about them. It’s called Freedom First.

Sorry to see Huck go. The main purpose of is entrance into the last election was to stop Romney. Thanks to his entrance into the race, Huck pulled it off and he did, indeed, stopped Romney, giving us McCain.

Anybody who takes this mess that Obama made is going to have a rough time. If the House and Senate are on board it can work. Without it, it will be a liberal field day.
