Sorry, I never understood the point of hunting bears.
No remorse.
Trying hard to get excited about this — and failing.
Kind of like bullfighting. Some days you’re the hunter, some days you’re the hunted.
Bear 1, Hunter 0.
ping
Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.........
If the animal is wounded one has the duty to track it. The good news is they are easier to track when wounded, the bad news is you will likely find it still holding a grudge.
More of a “would-be bear hunter” really.
Fortunately, Perkins seems to be recovering:

Don’t hunt the berry bears, they don’t like it and neither do I.
Poor wuttle grizzly bear...sniff sniff
Don’t you girls have cats to go stroke rather than high fiving over a near dead potential bear murderer
What would Chet say?....killing bears...the horror?
Spare me...is this a conservative forum or Animal Planet ladies?
Notice how you never hear about an angler being mauled by a fish?
But seriously folks...I’m sure this is part of bear population and habitat control and not a sport. It’s necessary as long as we exist with other species.
Or we could weed out humans instead! Start with libs? LOL
Hunting from snow Mobil, nothing like giving the game a chance.
PING!
and btw...for the bleeding hearts here
read the article
they were tracking the bear when it charged...it was not wounded or defending
it saw humans and thought ..food...moving fast and making noise...maybe dangerous ..that human smell but still
a nice meal
some here sound so gullible ..like lefties
The Alaska State Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising hikers, hunters, fishermen, and golfers to take extra precautions and be on the alert for bears.
They advise people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert but not startle the bears unexpectedly. They also advise you to carry pepper spray in case of an encounter with a bear.
People should be able to recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear droppings.
Black bear droppings are smaller and contain berries and possibly squirrel fur.
Grizzly bear droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.
So is “baiting” allowed in Alaska or was Perkins hunting illegally? ;-)
