"I'm not running for second," Herman Cain (R) said his presidential campaign announcement in Atlanta, GA on Saturday afternoon. Cain said he estimated the crowd to be at least 15,000 large.
Cain gave a wide ranging campaign speech on the economy, entitlements, energy and immigration.
"We have a nation of crisis," Mr. Cain said. Cain said we have a moral, economic and entitlement crisis.
"Look at the facts, don't look at the rhetoric," he said. "The stuff is not working, it's not working."
"Hope and change is not a new job or a new business or a new vision," Cain said at his rally.

Cain is a breath of fresh air. Great that he’s running!
Good for him. I hope he stays in the race. The last time I got all excited about a candidate, the candidate was Fred Thompson. I hope it turns out differently this time....
When we get past electing the “Same ol” guys we have been electing in the past - maybe (?) we can get our country back.
Till then we can expect to continue down the road to hell.
This guy sounds like the kind of person that can break the mold.
If it’s Citizen Cain standing tall when the moment arrives...so be it!

The Dems just lost their race card bs and their old slander against Black Conservatives, “He ain’t white enough!”
This is good.. Im a “Honkey for Herman”. We can make a bumper sticker if He loses that says “ Don’t blame me I voted for the real Black Guy”.
I like what he has spoken so far. BUT I know many people that will never ever vote for another black person for POTUS.

The Thompson fiascoe is why it’s a bad idea to vote early in GOP primaries. You neve really know who the candidaes are going to be until the day of the election. BTW, I gave Fred $200, my life’s most wasted political contribution.
