Maybe with a few more patriotic heroes like this we can get America back to its founding Christian roots, and stop the atheistic liberal fascist takeover

The school didn’t endorse it. So what is the ACLU’s problem?

Declare war on the ACLU because they have declared war on our nation.

I guessing Laci won’t be getting the 2011 ‘Kennedy’s Profile in Courage’ award.

Civil disobedience is the best way to deal with stupid superintendents, judges and activist lawyers.

Let’s have a look at the first amendment.

“Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Looks like the first amendment was written to protect religion from the government, as well as from communist ACLU guttersnipes.

Civil disobedience during the Clinton years was patriotic. Civil disobedience during Obama is terrorism.

You gotta wonder what the ACLU's definition of "freedom" is, and whether they approve of freedom in any form.

She has as much right to make her statement as the God hating atheist POS who called the ACLU.

I have NO respect for one person who thinks they can make others crawl for them because they call the ACLU.

They can kiss where the sun don’t shine.

The prohibition of religion is NOT freedom of religion!

It was unclear if the prayer would result in any legal action.

AND WHAT IF IT DOES? So what! Let the ACLU sue. The school district should not even bother to answer it or spend a single dime. Let them get a default judgment. what will the court do? How will it get the money? Not a single public official would dare to life a finger to help. THIS IS WHAT EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL MUST DO - JUST IGNORE THE ACLU SUITS AND THEY WILL GO AWAY. PERIOD.

I was hoping that as part of her remarks, Laci told the ACLU to stuff it, but I guess that isn't very Christian of me.

The First Amendment prohibition on government endorsement of religion exists to protect the minority from the majority,

Dumb lawyer forgot about the part forbidding the gov't from the FREE exercise of religion.

"The First Amendment prohibition on government endorsement of religion exists to protect the minority from the majority,"

First of all, it's not "prohibition on government endorsement of religion", it's prohibition on government endorsing a particular Church (separation of church and state). Even more, the amendment says: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ...."

Secondly, for Pete's sakes, was a minority in any danger, when majority prayed to bless them all?!

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

It's pretty stinking clear to me what they had in mind with this amendment. I don't know why lawyers, judges, and ACLU commie USA haters have any wiggle room around it.
