*UPDATE: President Obama got 25 standing ovations from Congress during his 2011 State of the Union address. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got 29 today.
ORIGINAL POST: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before a joint meeting of Congress had all trappings of a State of the Union address by a president with sky-high approval ratings.
Speaking to a packed House chamber with Speaker Boehner and Vice President Biden over his shoulders, Netanyahu was repeatedly interrupted by applause – including more than 20 standing ovations.
One of his biggest applause lines was aimed directly at President Obama.
“Israel will not return to the indefensible boundaries of 1967,” Netanyahu said, prompting a big standing ovation.
Later he added: “Israel on the 1967 lines would be only 9 miles wide. So much for defensible borders.”

Netanyahu arguably got an warmer reception than President Obama received during his last state of the union and certainly a warmer reception than he’d receive at the Knesset. When the speech was over, he lingered for a while at the podium as it seemed he didn’t want to leave.

He didn’t. Netanyahu is a very, very good speaker with a powerful voice and a very direct, forceful manner. He spent more time (in the brief segments I saw) looking out at the audience WITHOUT TELEPROMPTERS than Obama ever has. His English is better than most of our native-born Congresscritters, too!

Add to that he is very plain spoken. There is no guessing where he stands.
I don’t want him for U.S. President, but I would love to have an candidate who is as patriotic and dedicated to the survival and prosperity of our country as Bibi is to his.
I'll bet there was a policy meeting in the White House the very next day to firm up the details of our Middle East position.

He didn’t want to leave the podium because he knew his enemies here would twist reality to leave people doubting the urgency of Israel’s plight with Obama as America’s CEO. I hope to God history reflects the truth about this administration with reasonable accuracy and that the Hussein anomoly is survivable.
We were already on an inexorable path to national destruction before our most recent and shameless sheister-in-chief came along compounding the theft of national and human treasure and freedoms for banal corrupt purposes, underscoring the very worst of human nature. For the love of humanity and all that’s decent, let’s find a way to rid ourselves of this disease that’s destroying our culture, our way of life, and the great hope for something better on this planet. May Netanyahu’s words resonate, not only for the good of Israel (which is his charge), but for the security and freedom of all mankind.

At one point, I could have sworn I heard the Israeli Prime Minister refer to the leader of our country as “Vice President Obama”. Am I mistaken, check the tape. It is a fact that 75 percent of the Jews live in the United States. Of course, their issues will get a lot of votes, as well as, bring about large financial contributions to their party of choice. Even though, I don’t think they have a right to to tell us what to do.
How about the American Jews support the defense of our US borders as much as they seem to defend Israeli borders. I’d like to see a full border fence like Israel has along with guards that will not hesitate to shoot invaders!

Zero began with a cheap shot speech intended to preempt Bibi before he arrived but at the end of the day Bibi wins over Congress and the American people and Zero looks like the left wing idiot he is.
Let's not forget that Zero's former church and the United Church of Christ denomination are in bed with Sabeel. Most of what he knew about the Middle East before taking office came from pro-Pali anti-Israel sources.
