Time To Boycott TEXAS BASED FIRMS
market-ticker.org ^ | 05/26/2011 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 05/26/2011 10:52:16 AM PDT by Snuph

Yep, I said it.

Why?

Because the Texas Legislature, in pulling their bill to stop the rape-scans and probable-cause-less sexual assaults in airport terminals, no longer deserves taxpayer funding and the only way to legally deny them those funds is to stop doing business with Texas comp

Explain yourself.

Go easy on the young fella. See upthread. It’s clear Snuph is in too deep. He posted badly and can’t explain what he did or why.

Typical newbie mistakes.

The general consensus seems to be that:

Although your principle is good, your execution is a fail.

You are not really addressing the source of the problems, by such a boycott.

Maybe it would do more good if you ASKED OTHERS what they thought would solve the problem.

Just a suggestion.

Mr Denninger is attempting, it appears successfully, to get the people worked up and press for the passage of this bill in my honest opinion.

By boycotting Texas companies like Dell and Continental Airlines?

How does financially hurting the very constituents who were successful in lobbying their legislators to bring forth this legislation going to press the passage of this bill?

This is the most outrageously stupid tactic I have ever seen.

I have always been an advocate of using your dollars as ballots.

It seems your post #20 is quite different than what your post #1 above was. You implied it was a good idea to withhold dollars from Texas businesses.

I further suggest that should the federal authorities make good on their threat, the Texas Railroad Commission should, in the name of safety and security, shut down all interstate pipelines carrying natural gas and refined petroleum products out of Texas.

EXCELLENT!!! I take my hat off to Texas.

Karl smoking something this morning?
This does not make sense.
Good people don’t punish innocent others like this to get something done. This is something you see criminal minds do. They break into some home, grab the innocent women, put a knife to her neck, start cutting at her throat while she screams, to get the guilty husband to confess to something.
Or kidnap an innocent child and torture it to get the criminal parent to do something.

How exactly is making it a felony to do what is already a felony in any other situation unconstitutional? Assuming your speaking of the Texas bill being unconstitutional that is?

"Time To Boycott TEXAS BASED FIRMS"

NO! From an earlier FR thread -

Pass the Bill into law - the TSA shuts down the airports,

Texas stops the export of all oil (= gasoline) to the rest of the USA!

Check Mate!
