@iowanews1 - Gary Barrett Michelle Bachman-tells reporters she'll make her announcement re:GOP prez run in Iowa in Waterloo in June
Note: In Waterloo to announce WHETHER to run or not! The headline is a little misleading
A true consservative...I hope she runs. I am torn between her
and Sarah....as you can tell. They are both the best candidates,
along with Herman Cain, IMHO. Just sayin’........
I like her but she has no chance. Looking for a cabinet position I assume.
She is going to announce that she is planning on taking just enough votes from Sarah Palin to help elect a moderate establishment candidate
Gee, Palin takes a bus ride and suddenly everyone needs to announce something.
Bachmann can barely get re-elected to congress in MN.
Waterloo — a stroke of genius. Thanks Keith in Iowa.
Bachmann will then retire to the Isle of Albert Lea. /rim-shot>
Cheers!
She lost my vote with her vote on patriot act, she should stay home.

Michele Bachmann is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.
Wow, the name-calling in this thread on Bachmann, that she’s a RINO, an “establishment” candidate with the Bushes is just pathetic. I could support Sarah Palin any day of the week if she were in this race. But even if she was, I would not be trying to “destroy” Bachmann like many Palinistas in this thread appear to be content on doing. They are both good: may the better candidate win, for the sake of the country.
Right now, given the choices becoming apparent in the race, I am leaning towards Bachmann. The economy is going to be the central issue this election and she has been front and center fighting the disastrous Budgets in DC. No on TARP, no on the Budget, wants to adamantly repeal Obamacare, stop illegal immigration. She is the one person in this race who could be considered “inside the Beltway” without actually being considered part of it and has the voting record to back it up.
A logical choice of running mate for Bachmann would be someone who has shown they can make tough choices and get things done. This points strongly to Gov. Scott Walker. You put Bachmann/Walker on a ticket you’ll have a landslide victory.
I saw her video post yesterday for her latest fundraising and she seemed pretty excited to run (I really want to use the term “giddy”, because I don’t think she really expected this strong a level of support so early).
But it’s early. And I’ll be interested in the debates. She will try to nail Mitt on Romneycare, tie Pawlenty to his previous liberal stances, go after Cain on TARP, and Paul’s foreign policy as unacceptable. But we already know this.
Hmmm. Wouldn’t it be interesting if Michelle set this up, for SARAH to announce at that time?
I don’t get Bachmann. I don’t see her as being at a better advantage of Palin. She has yet to be introduced to the public and while I like her and she is similar to Palin and not afraid to take them on, I hope Palin enters because Bachmann is in for it and more to come.
Well... her money bomb fizzled so she might be rethinking things in light of other possible future entries into the race.
We need a real patriot to run.
That said, with go-along-to-get-along Boehnerism on the rise in the House, Bachmann's voice is needed in the House. But she is absent on that. She doesn't seem to want to take on that fight. Apparently she thinks she can better help out by running for president.
What's my point?
The Peter Principle comes to mind.
