Michelle is a proxy for Sarah until the time Sarah declares her candidacy.
It's a win-win for both of them.
Michelle gains the exposure, and Sarah bides her time.

(If Sarah Palin really was unelectable, state-run media would be begging the GOP to nominate her.)

That's BS. But believe it if you want to...

Michelle is a proxy for Sarah until the time Sarah declares her candidacy. Why? Because she is a woman? I reject that kind of thinking. Let the best man or woman win.

"Michelle is a proxy for Sarah until the time Sarah declares her candidacy." Precisely. Once Sarah announces (within the next 2 months), her winning the GOP primary is a fait accompli. As much as I like Michelle, she can't hold a candle to Palin's drawing power, stadium-filling magnetism, or inhuman record of accomplishments while in office.
In fact, while I share most of Bachmann's political outlook, her legislative resumé is quite thin, while Palin's list of "Yup, Done That" successes is leviathan.
