If it was a Republican who had made the decision to sell I suspect her reaction would be more strident.

An earlier story reported that California is closing down its state parks system because of the budget situation. Now they are selling off conservation reserve properties. So, they have given up their state parks and now are sacrificing their environmental principles in order to maintain their illegal aliens in the style to which they’ve become accustomed. Now supporting illegals, schools their kids kids, providing free health care, etc. trumps all other priorities in California, including environmentalism. It’s come to this.

Probably a tax write-off to her anyway.

While I had hoped that the Ramirez Canyon property I donated to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy would have been used for a state-of-the-art Environmental Conference and Study Center as was originally intended...What HAS it been used for, lo, these 20 years?

LOL!! She didn’t write one word of that tripe.
It is a well written Formal essay, clearly penned by a major in formal English writing. - She needs to give that speech writer a raise.

Eventually, when California runs out of things to sell, they’re going to have to address reality and face their run away government spending ways?

In the near future, Useful idiot Babs would be apologizing when Barry , Samantha Powers ,and Valerie Jarret call for rounding up all the Jews so they can visit special camps.
Liberalism truly is a mental illness.

It would be nice to know the price that California gets for the estate and then compare it to the amount that Babs claimed as a tax write-off.

It actually depends on the way the gift was given to the state, they legally might not be able to sell it. If sold to an unauthorized use it could go back to her. Of course she didn’t want it any more than the state did since it’s a white elephant and very expensive to maintain and there are some other problems with high volume usage caused by the neighborhood.

Streisand's thinly veiled tax-dodge bites the dust. It's getting old.
Hearst was first to pull this scam, deeming their digs in San Simeon a State Park to get the State to pick up the maintenance bill and take it off the tax rolls. They've since tossed in the ranch on the same pretext.
