“If you do stupid, high-risk stuff that results in an overall drain on the benefits system,”

In other words “govt approved”, the govt decides what is high risk. How very progressive of you.

Do it for the childreeeeeen.

Wrong again.

High risk meaning that your choices to smoke, eat crap and not exercise will cause you to develop health conditions that will vastly increase your odds of needing expensive, prolonged medical care.

I am in health insurance. If you have a high body-mass index, smoke, drink, use drugs, etc, you will pay more for insurance... BECAUSE YOU WILL USE MORE INSURANCE.

If you smoke or drink or eat McDonald’s, I don’t care. If you do these things while I’m paying for your health coverage, you can bet your ass I have an issue with it because you’re costing me money that, had you made more responsible choices with your health, I would not otherwise have had to pay. When it comes to the American taxpayer paying for health benefits for people who have no inclanation to pay for them themselves, as well as no inclanation to quit the behaviors which cause them to use more services, I stand for putting hard rules in place that will curtail the systemic drain caused by idiocy.
