Chris Wallace After Palin Interview: First Time I Ever Thought ‘This Women Is A Serious Candidate’
Mediaite ^ | June 5, 2011 | Matt Schneider

After interviewing Sarah Palin, Chris Wallace talked about her with his panel of guests and revealed that he was very impressed with her appearance. Unlike previous times when he interviewed her, Wallace noticed “this wasn’t just ‘you betcha’ – she was pretty sharp on the issues.”

Wallace was eager to see if anyone else agreed with his review of Palin’s interview:

“I thought she was a boffo performance today. It was the first time that I ever saw her and thought ‘this woman is a serious – if she decides to run – candidate for President. And a serious possibility to be President.’”

Besides a somewhat strange historical discussion of Paul Revere, Palin spoke confidently on issues ranging from the debt ceiling and foreign affairs, to her unequivocal support for Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget proposal. With Wallace now convinced that Palin can be a serious candidate, if she wants to be, it will be interesting to see whether other skeptics might be swayed now or if Palin still needs more detailed policy talks, and less Paul Revere, moving forward.

Sarah hasn’t changed.

Where was he in 2008?

"I say Chris Wallace’s opinion counts for very little."

Counts a lot for me. Chris has excellent instincts.

Of course is you’re Big Media, the discussion about Palin will concern trying to make her historically correct statement about Paul Revere warning the British into the BIG ISSUE!!! ...not the economy, jobs, education, energy, or foreign affairs. That they will ignore as much as possible.

Nhris Wallace has woken up. Others will follow. But me thing is sure. Wallace and others in the LSM still think they can make or break any candidate.

With Sarah Palin, they are dead wrong. She doesn’t need them at all.She can win without the LSM behind her.Her popularity has increased despite ALL the LSM could do to her.

Yes, Sarah made a fine appearance in Wallace’s interview. But the real realization is simple.Wallace has realized that the LSM cannot stop her, if they have not after all they have done to kill her politically.

You betcha!

One additional thing I meant to add,Sarah Palin is not only sharp on the isses. She has driven the issues from her Facebook Page for more than two years. The Health Care debate is one example. Her initiatives with nomenclatures , now in standard use, such as “death panels”, reflects this fact.

Its nice that Wallace has awoken to the Sarah Palin who we conservatives all know so very much more comprehensively than Wallace does.In fact most in the media simply have been blind to her role in actually shaping the national debate on issues from her Facebook Page, against an administration and Lame Stream media that has billions to spend in convincing the US public on Obama’s initiatives. Its David vs Goliath, and Sarah has won that type of battle repeatedly over the last two years with comparatively miniscule resources, compared to her detractors.Imagine what would be happening if she had an even playing field.I have no hesitation in saying that America has evolved its own version of Britain’s Margaret Thatcher or Israel’s Golda Meyer.

Yes,Sarah Palin is not only sharp on the issues. She has created many of them.

So I do not buy the context of Wallace’s conclusion that *finally*she has become sharp on the issues. She always has been and has created many in the sphere of national debate. That puts her head and shoulders above anyone else running for the office in 2012. She arrived a long time ago, and people like Wallace just did not know it. Despite their self assumed sophistication, the LSM is way behind the learning curve on Sarah Palin, dumber than dirt.If anything Wallace has the courage to face that fact. I am not so sure others will but lets see. Sarah can have a very powerful transformative effect, a necessary quality for a President of the United States.

“50% of Americans are below average.”
Hey... I copyrighted that phrase 30 years ago.

Actually that assumes a Normal distribution centered on 100. Chances are that is not the case. The Mean and the Median are not the same. If I had to guess I would say more than 50% are below average. This is because there are probably more extremely smart people than vegetables. I could be wrong, it might go the other way. But it is not 50/50 above and below 100.

“Actually that assumes a Normal distribution centered on 100.” You are correct if you consider only IQ. The average IQ in this country is just over 100, or so it’s said.

However “average” is close enough for government work...
