I believe that is a MSM generated poll. They HATE Sarah Palin. I believe she can be elected. She’s certainly smarter than BO and her instincts are sharper. Her positions on the issues are right. I agree with her on everything. The people love her. She could win this. I will NOT vote Romney. WILL NOT.

Run, Sarah, run. BO will self-destruct and you will waltz into the presidency. People will be voting AGAINST BO in droves just like they voted against Bush.

Isn’t it amazing how a few people suffering from PDS come on this forum and post replies exactly parroting what the MSM has said?

Do these few posters really believe they are contributing anything of any value or that they’re going to change any minds?

She’s NOT Reagan.=== === ===No, she’s better !

No, she's NOT better ..... but it's 31 years later. She is what we need today, the way we needed him in 1980.

I keep telling myself they are potholes, just potholes.

I meant no disrespect for Cain, but some of his supporters make me sick with their dumbass PDS.

As for my screen name, nope, my real last name is Gates. My old boss gave me that the nickname because when I worked a case, I sunk my teeth in and never gave up.

I live in the mountains on the west coast and other than the 8 that I personally know of, blacks don’t live in my county. We do have a good many wetbacks that you can have.

Now about the pizza boy thing. I must assume you’re black because your so sensitive. Here, we call the guy that delivers the pizza the “pizza boy”. I wasn’t trying to use a code word to say the word nigger... I am not a bashful man.

Take your race card sh-t and stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine, dude. It doesn’t work on me... I don’t have any guilt or hate for the skin color.

One last thing.... I’m not a “dude”.

"if nothing else, Palin’s voice runs thin very quickly.
I like Sarah and sat 10 feet from her, during a speaking engagement last year.
It’s important to learn which traits in a candidate turn off the swing votes in America..."

Yes, there are some shallow thinkers (or non-thinkers) who won't listen INITIALLY to the substance of what a person is saying, they are "turned off" by that person's voice.  And I agree that Palin has a challenge with getting that group to actually listen to what she's saying.

However, if Palin gets the nomination and the voters are looking at her vs Obama on the ballot, do you really think swing voters will vote for Obama just because of Palin's voice?  IOW, they like her positions on most of the issues (compared to those of Obama), but they will vote for Obama anyway just because they like the way his voice sounds compared to hers?

I can see it in the primaries when deciding whether to vote for one of the GOP candidates, but are they really that shallow to do so at the general ballot after months of Palin ads and performances in debates?

I agree with you X3 too. That’s right - exactly what Bachmann did.

I can't get my 13 yr old granddaughter to read a classic ... I just want her to read "Little Women," "Jane Eyre," and "Pride and Prejudice" this summer.

Some random advice...

Forget Little Women! Some of us HATED it!

Try youtube, the movie version of Jane Eyre may be available, Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier; there should also be at least one Pride and Prejudice there.

Abridged versions in the library.

Editions with illustrations are out there too.

Read it to her.

Ask her to read it to you.

Read it together in some way and discuss things at the end of each chapter.

Cliff's Notes has a website with discussions and study guides of these books, and there's also sparknotes.com.

The books themselves are available online if your granddaughter prefers the computer to the printed page.

Most of all, don't just get her to read, read with her; where she goes in a classic tale, go along with her!

Yes, I think some people will vote against Palin because of her voice and diction.

You have to have personality to win the White House in the modern TV era. But Palin’s personality is a bit quirky for a number of people. Add in the fact she doesn’t have a boatload of accomplishments and political experience to offset that, her personality will be the issue with a segment of voters.

This is one of the reasons I’m not on the Palin bandwagon. Obama’s only strength is his celebrity with certain segments of the population. Palin has that same strength. I don’t really want to match up against Obama on that particular playing field, i.e. strength v. strength in a “Twitter/Facebook” type campaign. I’d rather have a guy like Paul Ryan who would pull Obama over to the policy debate playing field, where I think Obama loses.

IMO Mrs. Bachmann stepped out of her depth when she left state government.

In 5 years 17, 22 and 7 pieces of legislation sponsored with none becoming law
No significant committee assignments
No leadership position in the GOP
No coalition created to champion the issues she claims to care about

She has however, been able to bring home the earmark bacon for her district. Not sure if that is a plus...

Read them to her if you’re near. Even older kids love to have someone read to them.

Not really.

He’s a declared candidate. She’s not.

And I don’t get the Palinistas who feel the need to bash other conservatives. Not very Reaganesque.

A "Bill O'Rumpwad Poll"? Tell me you're kidding. This has all the gravitas of a Ronald McDonald Poll. Consider the mouth-breathing snot eaters who watch Bill O'Rancid for a minute.

That's why we have campaigns. Two declared candidates for president (including the sitting president!) poll better than a private citizen who has not announced her candidacy yet... this surprises you?

So what? Let's see how Bachmann and O'Bongo poll against Palin after Sarah has been actively campaigning for six months. Better still, let's see who "polls" better in November of 2012.

Truth be told, it's the only poll that counts for anything anyway.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but technically, internet polls do not even HAVE any paper. They are ethereal! They exist in thin air. They are less than a vapor!

alan colmes let it out of the bag that he and a bunch of du types let see... how did he put it... “massaged” that poll. I heard this was said in the green room 9at fox) by someone close to colmes. It is amazing how some of you believe anything from any one (not you... a general statement).

First, I’m not a “Palinistas”, whatever that is. I am a Palin supporter and while she has not formally announced, I intend to work on the premise that she will... in her time.

As for bashing other conservatives, I don’t disagree with you in principal, but don’t think for a second that I am going to just sit, shut up and ignore the PDS’ers as the bash my candidate, announced or not.
