White children are now in the minority among people under 18 in 10 U.S. states and 35 large metro areas, according to a Brookings analysis of 2010 Census data.
The number of white children in metro areas including Atlanta, Georgia; Dallas, Texas; Orlando, Florida; and Phoenix, Arizona, fell below that of other children in the last decade as the population of white children nationwide declined by 4.3 million, the report said.
The decline occurred as the number of children identified as "new minorities" – Hispanics, Asians and other racial groups apart from whites, blacks and American Indians – grew by 5.5 million, the report said.
Hispanics registered an increase of 4.8 million, which kept the nation's overall child population from declining, the report said. The findings reflect changes in the racial makeup of the overall U.S. population with Hispanics becoming the nation's largest and fastest growing minority group.
Hispanics now comprise 23% of children, up from 12% in 1990, while whites now comprise just 53% of youth, down from nearly 70% in 1990.
The findings also underscore projections that the country will become "white minority" by 2042 as the race's median age keeps increasing. The child population stands to hit that mark in 2023.
"Slower growth among whites owes in part to their lower fertility rate – about 1.9 births per white woman, compared with 3.0 births per Hispanic woman – as well as a relatively low contribution to population growth from immigration" the report stated.
From 2000 to 2009, only 15% of growth in the immigrant population was attributable to whites, compared with 78% for Hispanics, Asians and other new minorities.
The report also said the aging white population contributes to a lower growth rate because proportionately, fewer white women are in their child-bearing years.

I teach in Los Angeles, and when I see a white child, I’m always startled for a minute. I had forgotten they come in that shade. I was also startled when I looked a group photo of the teachers in my department and realized that white glowing thing in the middle was my face. I was the only one.
How many here believe that a white minority would be treated well?
It’s a great plan, to work really hard, delay having children, and have less children, so that then you can have a ‘successful career’ in which you make money that the state takes from you so that they can give it to those who aren’t even citizens and who can then stay at home and have lots of children that you pay to raise.

The group that is biggest threat to Americans of any color or ethnicity is the white leftist. They’re the ones shutting down the heritage and promise of this country to everyone. So Cornel West is correct in calling BO “a culturally white man in a black skin.”
If this world lasts, if the USA lasts another 50 years or so, the US language will be Spanish, not English. English is rapidly being wiped out. Spanish is replacing it in the US. There is barely anything you can buy now days that does not have both English and Spanish on the wrapper telling you what is in it, the how to do it directions.

For years I have been telling EVERYONE to start listing their child’s race as “other.” Then EVERYONE will be a minority and in line for all the goodies paid for by white people.
I am dead serious about this.
Don’t tell this to Barry and his bimbo, Nappy of the Homeland Stupidity Department. They think they are doing a wonderful job putting the brakes on the invasion from the south.
In my circle of close friends, one of them has 2 children. The rest (including myself) have none, and it's likely to stay that way. Speaking for myself, I simply have no desire for kids...they're expensive, messy, irritating, and would bring a level of responsibility for which I have no desire.
That having been said, I certainly don't wish to discourage anyone else from having a gaggle of tots...and long as they can support them without government assistance.
this all under the guise of family planning and womens liberation has caused this to happen. this also did not happen overnight. For generations, they have pushed this thinking of few children, putting off marriage and children infavor of careers for women while the southern borders explode and babies are shot out like cannon fodder to cement their citizenship and take over this nation.
pretty much, thats what it is all about. republicans want them for cheap labor, democrats want them for the votes. no one polices the border the nation is gone

I bought Mayonaisa (sp?) the other day. Kraft makes it, the whole label is in Spanish.
I don’t usually buy those products with the label in another language, but it sells well, my little outrage is not doing any good to anyone.
Some observations:
1. I’m surprised Maryland isn’t on the list - my son (age 2) is 1 of about 3 white kids I see in our neighborhood.
2. I really don’t care about the race aspect, it’s the CULTURAL impact I’m worried about.
3. Does it count White Hispanics (which make up from just under a quarter to well over half of Hispanics in any given area) in the “White” number or not?
Many of the “minorities” in Russia listed are white...what are you illustrating?
We will see when the illegals are chased out!
My wife and I have one, and one more on the way (and we got a late start, marrying in our 30s). We may even opt for one more.
That said, I can’t help but think when I hear a professional say they can’t afford kids yet, that if only they didn’t have to contribute so much of their income to welfare queens, that they could...(also there’s the idea that you can never “REALLY” afford them...they’re expensive little buggers!)
