I did not claim Palin is stupid..... I like Palin and she is fairly smart, but just a few years ago she had to be coached on everything, so don’t pretend she is a genius. ...and don’t dismiss how knowledgable Gingrich really is. If you know Newt as much as you pretend to, then you know he is nearly unbeatable on healthcare, national security, the economy, the founders/constitution/american exceptionalism, the influence of God on the founding of the counrty, etc... Who can lay out the facts, and vision for the future better than Gingrich on these topics? Who? Not Palin.

Ronald Reagan raised taxes when Newt vows not to. ....and Reagan was not nearly as pro-life as Newt Gingrich. Reagan granted amnesty to illegals... which Newt also supported, but Reagan ultimately failed to seal the border. Newt scares me slightly on illegal immigration, but I do believe he will actually seal the border and stop illegal immigration.

Bill Clinton balanced the budget, and passed the popular welfare reform thank’s to Newt’s leadership. (Side note: this is Newt’s point on Medicare and the Ryan plan..... if it doesn’t have overwhelming public support.... which it doesn’t..... you go out and win the argument until it does) Newt stepped down from the speakership for the sake of the party, after some great accomplishments. You clearly buy the media’s version of it. That’s up to you. You also probably thought Newt’s first wife was dead until his daughter recently cleared that up.

Newt is older now, wiser, and clearly cares about the future of the country. You seem to prefer to blame Dick Morris for Clinton’s success? How about giving Newt the credit he deserves? It was his leadership.... not Morris’ influence. Clinton would have faced the realities with or without Morris. Obama might be a different story though.

Newt Gingrich praises Barack Obama

On Palin in the same article:

The often outspoken Gingrich, who said he plans to announce whether he’s running for the White House by late February, also had some words of advice for Sarah Palin, a potential opponent in the race for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. “I think that she’s got to slow down and think through what she’s saying and how she’s saying it,” he said. “There’s no question that she’s become more controversial, but she is still a phenomenon…. She remains a very formidable person in her own right.”

Please refrain from trying to school me re politics and especially about Newtie!

I don't "pretend" to know........I DO KNOW all about Newt; what he says, has said, has written, and has done!

No, Newt and the boys didn't "force" Clinton to sign the welfare reform Bill; that was Dickie Morris, ON THE THIRD TRY!

You did so claim that Palin is "stupid", by bringing up that heavily edited, rather banal Couric "interview", which was set up by that back stabbing itch on wheels, who used to WORK FOR KATIE. You claimed that Newtie wouldn't have been "caught" by Couric. Yet the MSM "caught" old Newt, many times over, when he was Speaker of the House" and since then.

All candidates are "coached" and "prepared". To believe otherwise is naive.

Unlike Newt, Palin has actually run a town and a state. Her ideas are far better than Newt's and to cap it off, she actually is a proven leader who got things done!

It doesn't take a genius to be president.

Do you want a college prof as president?

Hell yes............I WANT PALIN!

Yo, jackoffgeorge-

Even if you were right- and you're not, you are spectacularly wrong about the fat washingtonian has-been gingrich, it doesn't matter.

I wont bother to re-list all the reasons posted just here in the comments on this thread why gingrich is such a pathetic and embarrassing candidate- you'll simply ignore reality some more.

.Maybe this will sway you though- Liken this thread's comments to a newt for president poll.

Newt loses this particular "poll" 1-78.

Newts putative base, Freepers, reject him totally and nearly absolutely. Except for you of course.

Get behind someone who has a prayer, george. Stop wasting yours and our time arguing for a joke candidate.

I support Palin, george, so don't ask me.

I'll vote for whoever the candidate is. This does not include newt as he has no support on the Right. None. Zero.

You are easily fooled, george. Become more discriminate please.
