2. A&W
A large part of my teen years was “cruzin the loop” and hanging out at the A&W. Practically every Saturday there was an impromptu car show featuring the nicest rides in the valley.
“All things must pass”
I worked at an A&W in high school...$1.15 an hour. The guy that owned the franchise was a slave driving skinflint.
Bring back Quisp and Quake!!!!!
I grew up in Glendale, California - home of the original Bob's Big Boy...........ditto on the cruising. RIP Bob's (other than the few faux franchises around the southwest).
Looks like A&W diet root beer will survive, my favorite.
A&W and a chili dog with cheese....THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE on a hot August afternoon.
And they bring it to your car.
yes remember the A&W in Flint Mi late 60s
It was located right next to the county jail
kind of a weird deal on a hot summer night with all the kids cruising thru and inmates literally hanging out the jail windows
