A large part of my teen years was “cruzin the loop” and hanging out at the A&W. Practically every Saturday there was an impromptu car show featuring the nicest rides in the valley.

I worked at an A&W in high school...$1.15 an hour. The guy that owned the franchise was a slave driving skinflint.

I grew up in Glendale, California - home of the original Bob's Big Boy...........ditto on the cruising. RIP Bob's (other than the few faux franchises around the southwest).

It was located right next to the county jail
kind of a weird deal on a hot summer night with all the kids cruising thru and inmates literally hanging out the jail windows
