A Russian woman died of a heart attack at her own funeral, after waking up to find praying mourners filing past her coffin.
Fagilyu Mukhametzyanov, 49, had been declared dead after suffering chest pains and collapsing at home in Kazan, capital of Tatarstan.
Doctors had failed to spot she was actually very much alive, and Mrs Mukhametzyanov unsuprisingly began screaming when she regained consciousness to find she was being prematurely dispatched to the hereafter.
Her husband, 51-year-old Fagili Mukhametzyanov, said: "Her eyes fluttered and we immediately rushed her back to the hospital but she only lived for another 12 minutes in intensive care before she died again, this time for good."
He added: "I am very angry and want answers. She wasnt dead when they said she was and they could have saved her."
Hospital spokesman Minsalih Sahapov assured an investigation into the matter was under way.
>>These people dont embalm?
Really! What uncivilized savages they are, letting people die without saddling the family with thousands of dollars in debt to get the dead buried in accordance with local and state laws.
On the other hand, the medical profession there needs some retraining!
This used to be common enough that someone invented a custom called the Wake to make sure before putting someone in the ground.
Every Russian girl/woman’s first name ends with the letter “a” except for one (Lubyov?)
I’ve dated a few Eastern Euro women in my younger days and know this from what Russian girls have told me, so I think this story might not add up.
Coming soon to a family near you...........Thanks Obamacare!...............
How horrifying for everyone involved.
Well they should have reported that she was alive before she died.
You’re too late. The modern ones have cellphones built in................
Tatarstan....hehe.... is that where Ron white is from???
Your company motto: “Saved by the bell!”
Trust me. ;-)
LOL! Now you got Finnegan’s Wake in my head!
An even more comprehensive list of Female Russian names:
http://www.20000-names.com/female_russian_names.htm
The one exception to the “a” rule is on this list, but no “Fagilyu” so I think this story is fake or the woman was not Russian.
Plus I like to mention I dated many Russian girls in my younger days and I noticed the pattern of all of their names ending with the letter “a” so I asked and was told all Russian girls names end with the letter “a” with one exception, which is “Lyubov” which is sometimes spelled differently, but definitely no Russian girls/women named “Fagilyu” so once again, I call Bee Ess.
Pastor joke
A man asks his pastor neighbor if he can borrow his wagon because his wife had died and he wanted to take her to the undertaker. The pastor hooked up his wagon and helped the man put his wife in the back. They left for town. On the way there, they rounded a curve and hit a big bump in the road, throwing the wife out of the wagon. When they went back to get her they discovered she was still alive.
The pastor took the man and his wife back home.
A few weeks later, the man asks the pastor if he can borrow his wagon because his wife had died and he wanted to take her to the undertaker. The pastor hooked up his wagon and helped the man put his wife in the back as they had done before. They left for town. As they came upon the curve in the road, the man told the pastor to watch out for the bump in the road, as that is where they had that “trouble” the last time.
And her husband’s name just happens to be “Fagili”?
Not buying it.
Those are not Russian names.
This may have happened in Russia, but if the story is true, the people involved are not Russian according to their first names.
Did I mention that I use to date a lot of Russian girls when I was younger and that’s how I know? ;^)
Of course she’s not Russian, she’s a Tartar in Tartaristan.
4% of Russian people are ethnic Tartar, they do not have Russian names.
Thanks for clearing that up.
The article said a “Russian” woman and her name immediately set off my Bee Ess detector because it’s not a Female Russian name.
Or how about “Waking Ned Devine?”
They do, except they use Vodka
Life imitates Python.
They use vodka. So, was she pickled from too much vodka before she was declared dead and they didn’t feel the need to embalm her further? Inquiring minds and all...
