Wisconsin justice accuses colleague of choking her

A Wisconsin Supreme Court justice has accused another justice of choking her during an argument in her office earlier this month — a charge her colleague denied.

Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Justice David Prosser put her in a chokehold during the dispute. She contacted the newspaper late Saturday after Prosser denied rumors about the altercation.

"The facts are that I was demanding that he get out of my office and he put his hands around my neck in anger in a chokehold," Bradley told the newspaper.

Prosser said in a statement the allegations "will be proven false" once a "proper review of the matter and the facts surrounding it are made clear."

Wisconsin Public Radio and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, quoting anonymous sources, reported Saturday that the argument occurred before the Supreme Court's decision earlier this month upholding Republican Gov. Scott Walker's bill eliminating most of public employees' collective bargaining rights.

Any witnesses or his this just another commie lib, “he said/she said” thing where “the seriousness of the charge” thing is all that matters?

wha? unless there is “tape” from a security cam or a sound recording this is going to be a Mexican standoff and Prosser loses in that scenario.

Prosser: Reports false that he placed hands on neck of other justice

By Crocker Stephenson of the Journal Sentinel

June 25, 2011 | Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser responded to reports Saturday that he had placed his hands around the neck of fellow Justice Ann Walsh Bradley during an argument in her office earlier this month:

“Once there’s a proper review of the matter and the facts surrounding it are made clear, the anonymous claims made to the media will be proven false,” he said.

“Until then, I will refrain from further public comment.”(136)

From the Washington Examiner...

But another witness said that during a heated conversation, Bradley “charged [Prosser] with fists raised” and that Prosser had put out his own hands defensively. According to one of the paper’s sources, Bradley then accused Prosser of choking her, to which another justice reportedly replied, “You were not choked.”

“As the activist press was running with the story, new evidence emerged in a Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel report to suggest the matter was more complicated than originally reported. Whatever happened, happened during a meeting of six of the court’s seven justices; in other words, there were several witnesses. One witness supported the original accusation. But another witness said that during a heated conversation, Bradley “charged [Prosser] with fists raised” and that Prosser had put out his own hands defensively. According to one of the paper’s sources, Bradley then accused Prosser of choking her, to which another justice reportedly replied, “You were not choked.”

The libs are showing their desperation. They tried to get one of their bought-and-paid-for judges on the WI SC bench and failed. They contested the election and failed. Now, out of the bag of nefarious tricks, comes this. Well, now... have criminal charges of assault been filed, and if not, why not?

So, physical violence between state judges is justified?

I doubt this happened as it’s being reported, but I wouldn’t defend Prosser if it is true.

There were several witnesses and there are reports - posted here at FR - that at least one other justice said that the whining justice ws NOT choked and that she had attacked Prosser and he was merely pushing her back.

This could well have been an incident created to punish Prosser.

Did the woman judge suffer any injuries? Any marks on the neck? Did the witnesses see anything of that nature?

This is probably Democrat character assassination. But, the liberal media will run with this story, and it will be up to Prosser to prove himself innocent.

Hmmm, let's see --- Bradley is dead, Prosser goes to jail and Walker gets to appoint two new conservatives to the bench. Another clear case of RATs proving the Law of Unintended Consequences.
