[by Red Skelton]

I - - Me; an individual; a committee of one.

Pledge - - Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.

Allegiance - - My love and my devotion.

To the Flag - - Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody's job.

United - - That means that we have all come together.

States - - Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that is love for country.

And to the Republic - - Republic--a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

For which it stands One Nation - - One Nation--meaning, so blessed by God.

Indivisible - - Incapable of being divided.

With Liberty - - Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one's own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.

And Justice - - The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.

For All - - For All--which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine.

And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands; one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country,
and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God.
Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer, and that would be eliminated from schools, too?

As we celebrate the Fourth of July weekend, and local newspapers are full of stories about local governments that have decided to cut out fireworks displays this year as a cost-cutting measure, we need to remember that Barack Obama’s campaign pledge is working; “To Fundamentally Transform America (into North Korea)”

The next step will be to replace "The Star Splangled Banner" with the Obama theme song: "When The Lights Go Out In The City".

Kasich and Scott are the only people on worth watching this morning.

Thank heavens this Independence Day Sunday won't be stained by having the likes of Schmucky Schumer, Janet Incompetano, Hillary Cankles, or Little Timmy Geithner on the shows. The Founding Fathers might actually get a short respite from their constant spinning in their graves and perhaps enjoy the celebrations with the real America!

I cannot understand Fox News—the vast majority of South Carolinians are ashamed of Pansy Grahamnesty and proud of Jim DeMint—so Oily Lindseed currently represents only a tiny minority of SC liberals and RINOs in a overwhelmingly conservative state.
But the “fair and balanced” network puts on the twit our Tea Party faithful plan to remove in 2014!
I hope Chris asks the sissy RINO if he is a flake too—if he is honest he will answer,”No,not a flake but a fruit Chris.”

Morning AB, all….Happy Birthday America.

As always, thank you AB, for doing this thread.

Daughter coming to visit today, God Bless. Bringing grandkiddle, have dinner. I don’t go out July 4th. In fact I try to stay in the entire month of July and August.

Tourists, God Bless….they need to give out licenses so we can legally hunt tourists, hang their heads in our living rooms.

Our church starts an extra 11 am Sunday mass on Memorial day and a 6:00pm extra Saturday mass on July 4th. Went to that mass last night...nice. Till next week when everyone will know about it and go to it.

What they do, the tourists, they come in big groups, I think everyone in the family goes to church while they’re on vac. They got all the little kids, grandma, granddad, cousins and kids’ friends. They pack two to three pews, just one tourist group….they wear shorts, halter tops….hey, our church, of necessity, has a very relaxed dress code but just damn, sometimes I blush. Half of them even have sand still on their legs.

Heh.

So Rush didn’t choose Lewes Del for his tea party visit. His choice was a good one, of course….Joplin, Missouri. Lewes could not compete with a tornado.

Below is part of an entry I wrote last weekend about the Sussex GOP and the new thing we’re doing. Another Freeper sent me email said I didn’t tell.

So first thing the new Chair and his board did, heh, was pass resolutions called…”sense of the party”.

Well I love it.

What they do, they create the feeling of the party on a particular bill up in the Delaware senate (they’d do this national too only no Repubs in the national law houses). So the bill up to allow very dumb manufactured home owners to demand that the landlords do not get to raise their land rates if their net profit is over a certain amount.

In some parts of the world they call this communism.

Anyway, the Republican party in Sussex county takes a stand on these sorts of issues and sends them up to the Republican legiislators. Legislators that the PARTY helped elect, go on. This so they can’t say, eh, they didn’t know.

We’ve been stung enough by Mike Castle coming to Sussex county demanding we vote for him then going back and voting with the Dems, ya think?

Well the Blue Blood GOP is all in a snit over this. “It’s not fair to put the burden of petty party politics on the legislator who has to deal with the opposition party and other factors,” they sniff.

Hey, I think it’s a great idea.

Wish us luck….the Republican party should do this across the fruited plains.

Finally, heh, Delaware is one of the top ten most patriotic states! Imagine that!

You can take this to the bank, it ain’t the northern Wilmingdelphia area that’s all that patriotic. And it ain’t cosmopolitan Dover/Kent county. IT’s….who? Louder!

WHO?

LOUDER!

SUSSEX COUNTY!!!

Breath of fresh air greatest conservative place on the planet to live even though we have one of the largest homosexual communities on the east coast in Sussex whose members would be getting bullied and robbed in gangland riddled WilmingJersey.

Then they don’t wear pink and march naked either. They’re OUR homosexuals and I’ll give you odds that they’d all choose Sussex county rather than any other place in America.

It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Cornyn says Obama is trying to run out the clock, demand something get passed last minute so no one can review it.

Wants to bring down some rates to make them revenue neutral and close some loopholes. Won't happen by Aug 2.

Thinks ethanol subsidies really will be phased out.

Asked about Clinton telling Obama not to blink. Cornyn says a "mini deal" is a bad idea but it might be necessary and it can be 're-litigated before the election.'

Asked about Obama and Reid demagoguing taxes. Said reform won't happen by Aug 2. Said Nov 10 was about cutting spending, not raising taxes. Schmuck Schumer accusing Republicans of undermining the economy for 2012 advantage. Says that rhetoric doesn't help, says Obama's doing a fine job undermining the economy already.

Asked about Schumer and ignoring the debt ceiling. Says it's "crazy talk." Says Obama's proposal must be upfront, not behind close doors so the American people can see what's coming and not be surprised after the fact.

Asked about Libya. Cornyn'll vote against some resolution coming up and offer his own. Thinks Libya goals need to be defined.

On FOX, the quite guilty Chris Wallace
has been replaced by an insightful,
and clearly non-guilty, new host.

She lofts a softball at Sen. John Cornyn.
How will the GOP rebut the PR from Reid, etc?
He says they will just get along.

She focuses on the struggle of the average American.

Another softball: What about Obama having authority
to just bypass the debt ceiling?
He says they will just get along and wants to see
the DNC proposal.

Just watched the Fox news.
Did anyone else notice how Graham was in front of the ISAF flag, and Lieberman was in front of the NATO flag.
No where was there an American flag.
Every day we are shown that our sovereignty is being turned over to the NEW WORLD ORDER!

During the Senator Coryn time on FNS, the moderator (Jamie?) asks about Barack Obama's scolding of private sector corporations who own private sector corporate jets, at the same time Michelle and the Obama girls are flying to South Africa on the taxpayers' dime, and nobody mentions the irony of the situation. How sad.

Somebody should explain to Barack Obama that displaying chutzpah in those statements is not the same as showing solidarity with Israel.
