Unidentified assailants blew up the Egyptian pipeline that carries gas to Israel and Jordan early on Monday, starting a fire and disrupting the flow of the gas, security officials said.
The blast took place in the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula, near the Mediterranean coastal city of El-Arish, which is 30 miles (50 kilometers) from Israel's border.
The Egyptian officials had no further details and there were no immediate reports of casualties. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
The blast is the third to hit the strategic pipeline since an uprising overthrew Egypt's longtime leader Hosni Mubarak in February.

Just in time for the floatilla business. Fortunately, there can’t be a contingency for which Israel is not prepared, including oil pipelines. I expect there are going to have be some of us able ones go to Israel before this is “over”. Americans are going to have to board some floating tillas themselves to balance out against the kooks on water begging for trouble.
A quick search showed it happened Feb 5th and he stepped down a week later. That attack led to a 38-day supply gap.
It happened again in late April causing a 45-day supply gap and now, a third time this year only 24 days after resuming supply.
I found a June 3rd piece reporting Egypt's oil minister said no gas exports to Israel and Arab countries until the pipeline was secured and supply started up again the 10th.
LOL - isn’t that what TSA uses against us Americans and what they use to examine us? Should I care more if the gas line to Ireland was bombed? Truthfully I care first about the gas line to my USA city.
