What kind of Mother allows her child to be place in a sack and be deposited in a swampy area?
Than the animals came and chewed her flesh and scattered her bones.
The maggots and worms eat what was left of her body.
Why would a person not tell someone where her child is laying?
What kind of Mom throws her dead child in the woods like a piece of trash?
What kind of Mom goes partying and drinking while her child is discarded like garbage?
What kind of person gets a tattoo “Beautiful Life” while her daughter is rotting in the woods?

Well, I think that psychopaths and sociopaths are all experienced in charming their victims. It is a skill that they practice all their lives. They often are called “charismatic”. They don’t have to be pretty, but the pretty ones have a better chance of success.

You give the Anthony family too much credit for being normal. Cindy fooled me that day she sobbed on the stand. Any opinion I had of them as normal and feeling people disappeared the day she lied on the stand for Casey and in effect threw Caylee in the swamp for a second time. These people are neither normal nor nice. That baby never stood a chance.

The Psychopath Defined

Psychopaths are actually not all that rare - they're basically people that derive pleasure from hurting others.

Those that are high functioning enough to control themselves usually become cops, politicians, CEOs and judges.

The movies have twisted the public perception of psychopaths - they're not rare and they're mostly not killers.

The smell was still there. Caylee’s body was gone. Apparently the jury believed it was the smell of garbage, as they defense suggested. There is no mistaking the smell of garbage from that of a dead body. It is a smell unlike any other, and the people that were even near the car (like in the impound lot) knew what that smell was. That is why the prosecution wanted the jury to smell the air samples from the trunk. The judge did not allow that.

Several points.... the jury would have had 15 minutes if the verdict was guilty. They would have been thanked for their sacrifices and moved on. A not guilty verdict will give them a lot more options, especially since they have decided to stay sequestered....until the offers start pouring in.

They need to be asked one question, who was responsible for Caylee at the time of her death and just where was her mother when she died?

Then why hide the body and not report it for 31 days, then lie about it, make up a nanny, get a tattoo saying “good life” etc? The google search for breaking neck?

"... people like me herald what the mood out here is, and explain that there may be blow-back... I don’t see you evidencing any concern at all that these jurors may have subverted their jurors' duties in the process here."

I won't make excuses for the jurors, but if there's an undeniable public mood of grave consternation out there as you mention, it sure didn't seem to be prevalent in the jury box considering that it didn't take the jury very long at all to rule that the prosecutions' case was dog poop.

After all, if there really is a huge public sentiment about the Casey Anthony case to the point where the jurors need to watch their backs, you'd think that it would reflect in the jury's conclusion. Casey Anthony should never have had a flippin' chance no matter who sat on the jury, right?

It didn't, so where's the disconnect? Allow me to make a humble suggestion: The jury was hearing the state's evidence allowed to them by the judge on a daily basis, but the rest of America was watching Nancy Grace, Anderson Cooper, Geraldo, reading a bunch of unfounded innuendo on the Internet, and speculating amongst themselves in the way that children enjoy creeping each other out with scary ghost stories.

I know you're not holding a pitchfork or a torch in this. Also, you've been on FR long enough to understand that Freepers can confuse themselves into a mistaken frothing fury through mob action alone. You know better than to confuse that side of FR with 'The Real World®'.

Hell, man: There were five or six threads larger than this one last Fall focused on demanding that the USA nuke China for their act of war in firing a submarine-launched ballistic missile off the coast of Southern California near Catalina Island. Remember your concern for that idiotic spectacle of 'the mood out there'? I do believe you were (correctly) a skeptic then, right?

You're a long-timer here. I know you. Your credentials for not being an hysteric are well founded in my opinion.

Jose didn’t want to the jury to think about Casey or Caylee in terms of a crime committed. So he turned the attention to himself. I don’t believe the jurors let her off due to no evidence being presented. That is an excuse. This was emotional, personal. The prosecution, IMHO, presented a great case; however, Jose presented an emotional case. Did you hear him say not to decide this case on emotions? Talk about a key buzzword.

Sad This little girl was thrown in the trash on the side of the road for a second time.

I believe in what goes around comes around.

No fingerprints or DNA found on the remains.

Who could have known how to cover up all possible clues?

Someone who is or was part of law enforcement.

George Anthony.

I heard that she wrote another inmate repeatedly that she wanted to have another baby.

See, that right there is telling. When you have just lost a child, do you really want to have another? Most acounts I've read say the parents (one or both) feel disloyal to the deceased child. They don't want to appear to be just replacing one child with another.

But for her to voice wanting another child is just....well.....sick!

I have that book! Yes, most never murder or even commit crimes punishable by prison time. I think there is such a thing as a Bad Seed...that it is inherited and upbringing (socialization) makes all the difference in how bad they get. Casey was never disciplined and was praised for tons of things she never accomplished. That was throwing wood on a raging fire.

What kind of Mother

No one ever tried to deny that the defendant was a normal person. She has some very obvious mental issues, so using the "what kind of mother" method to try to prove guilt isn't going to work with her because she isn't "normal".

If this were not such a high profile case she would have been convicted.

Or if she were a man. He would be staring at the death penalty right now.

My house floated away in a flood once......the smell of flood mud was horrendous.....to THIS DAY I recognize that smell...it is like no other. I imagine a dead decomposing body to be the same.

So let me get this straight:

screaminsunshine:
-the jurors who believed CA to be not guilty reached that conclusion through careful consideration of what was allowed into evidence.
-those who believe CA to be guilty reached that conclusion through the brainwashing capabilities of Nancy Grace and the HLN network.

Is that about right?
