Item: 25 year old high school dropout, ex-con, no occupation, no skills, notorious and widely hated. Any doubt how this is going to turn out?

Scary that this juror plans to be a nurse. She is the picture of an obamacare health system employee.

Interesting about the Foreman. The Foreman should have absolutely no control over what the other jurors think - that is not his role. Basically, his role is to take a blind ballot (that’s what smart juries do), and then begin the discussion, trying hard to control the emotions inside the jury room. He sends out the messages to court for readbacks and evidence, etc. He cannot “ban” evidence like the 31 days! Geez, I’m scared for this country.

Maybe Mr Baez should reconsider being in such close proximity to the murderess Miss Casey from now on. I'd hate to think that I too could get killed standing so close to her.

Doing it by choice is very different than doing it by necessity. Even as that little Hollywood weirdo learned that he can never come home was not good enough for him, he tried so hard to get the OK to come back only to be indicted in Europe. I suspect she will be tucked away someplace here in the states but her need for the party crowd will drive her nuts and she will never again have an honest moments peace.

WHY is it that people want to defend this jury? This scares me. Juries are made up of human beings who make errors in judgment everyday.

Those who defend this jury reason that since it was a jury, and they did come to a decision, then "the system worked."

So far as I'm concerned, all the prosecution needed to do was show that this woman's child was missing for thirty days while she failed to report the disappearance, drove about in a car that smelled of rotting flesh, and could not give an adequate account of her actions, while the child's remains turned up in a wooded area not half a mile from where she was living at the time. Under those circumstances she needed to provide a damned good explanation as to her conduct. "Space aliens could have done it," is not sufficient to inculcate a reasonable doubt of her guilt. The jury was wrong, and they allowed themselves to be flattered, cajoled and manipulated into thinking that in their position as jurors they possessed a unique perspective that could remain unique only so long as they bought the argumentation of the defense.

Just the fact that she never reported her baby missing was enough for me...

I'm thinking now of this Leiby Kletzky case in New York, and wondering if Levi Aron could have pursued the same line of defense, if only he'd been smart enough to shut up when the cops came to his door. After all, what would the prosecution have to show? Just some surveillance tapes showing Leiby talking to him, and getting into his car, and some blood and body parts in his house. Did anyone see him murder the kid? He was the last person to be seen with Leiby; well, Casey Anthony was the last person to be seen with her child. Ah, but the body parts in the refrigerator and the suitcase! Well, he could have come home after a hard day's work and found that someone had planted the body in his house, whereupon he got panicky, thinking that he'd be falsely accused, and so he decided to dispose of the body. Yeah, that's the ticket! And you know, you weren't there at the time, so how do you know it wasn't just that way? Doubt! There's your doubt, and it's not unreasonable to have doubts, so therefore it's reasonable doubt! God, how wonderful to be an intellectual!

Thanks for your post.

I feel sorry for the jury. I watched Greta’s interview with the male juror..he was rational, intelligent and thoughtful. It sure appeared they took this seriously and followed the law.

Like it or not, this jury deeserves credit for doing their job. And like it or not, this is our system...the BEST in the world, albeit flawed at times.

Go ahead and blame Casey, blame the prosecutor...but the jury did what they had to with the law.

To those that think we should toss our constitution and our legal system..Go ahead and flame away.

Protestors were outside yelling “Killer” when she walked out and I saw Baez, her lawyer smile when he got in the car. The protestors got to Orlando Executive Airport with signs too. WFTV said protestors were running down John Young Parkway (A big main highway) and the police had to go there to ensure they did not get hit by a car.

Who are these freaks that have the time or the desire to go protest?

Seriously, these people need to get a life.

You correctly picked the only listed flight that fits the timeline, but planes can be hired with blocked tail numbers. We’d need a picture or video to confirm.

Other than a little girl being dead, the most disturbing element of this whole case to me is the lynch mob mentality of the media and the general public. On tv this morning, a commentator said she left the jail wearing “suggestive” clothing. Huh? Her clothing didn’t look the least bit suggestive to me.

Perhaps it’s good that the lame stream media is busy ragging on Casy Anthony. Usually, it’s Sarah Palin that they’re ragging on.
