An eyewitness tells Norwegian broadcaster NRK that he saw 20 to 25 bodies at the youth camp where a gunman dressed in a police uniform opened fire.

Andre Scheie says he saw bodies on the shore of the Utoya island where the youth wing of the Labor Party was holding a summer camp for hundreds of youths.

Scheie said Friday: "There are very many dead by the shore ... there are about 20-25 dead." He also said he saw dead people in the water.

It’ll take awhile for Norwegian law enforcement to sort it all out and identify a particular group. As usual, many will take credit.

They have captured a gunman alive on the island (according to the Norwegian paper)...maybe they can extract useful info from him.

It just has all the earmarks of Al Quaeda (or whatever name the Jihadists use in Europe nowadays). Multiple attacks, ongoing, coordinated, soft targets.

What could be a softer target than 500 kids on school vacation, enjoying a summer camp on an island?

Whoever did it—they are despicable cowards.

“Mosque” should be the international term for “Ground Zero Target”.

” Islam IS the problem. A high percentage of individuals who study that religion end up committing acts of violence.
...
But definitely a bad thing when that ‘old time religion’ is based on a book that promises heavenly bliss to those that kill/murder unbelievers) - you’re left with a million blood thirsty crazies.”

“I agree. The problem is Islam. It is a unique religion that is based on a book, ghost-written by Satan, that encourages murder and enslavement. “

///
great points. “moderate” Muslims aren’t terrorist.
Terrorists are devout Muslims, who have STUDIED their religion.

...i told my Imam (a “moderate” Imam near Washington DC),
that from reading, it seemed to me, that bin Laden was NOT “misunderstanding” Islam, but had it correct.

...i FULLY expected to be corrected. I WASN’T.

instead, a moderate Imam on the state CAIR board of directors, told me that bin Laden DID correctly understand Islam...

Islam needs to be banned from the USA. NOW !

I hope the left starts to realize that Islamics are not their friends. Then again these are deluded souls.

As usual, many will take credit.

Praying this will be sorted out quickly,
and the live one (despicable cowards)
will talk as though the fires of hell
have lapped at his flesh, with useful
information for LE.

Does anyone know if this killing was committed by fanatic Muslims or a right wing death squad?

What do you expect from Satan worshipers? This is a sign of mental illness and a depravity of soul.

Prayers & tears for the fallen.

And in a place where "gun control" is quite strict. It could not have happened in Israel. There they arm teachers and older students.

The attacks come as Norway grapples with a homegrown terror plot linked to al-Qaida. Two suspects are in jail awaiting charges. Last week, a Norwegian prosecutor filed terror charges against an Iraqi-born cleric for threatening Norwegian politicians with death if he is deported from the Scandinavian country. The indictment centered on statements that Mullah Krekar — the founder of the Kurdish Islamist group Ansar al-Islam — made to various news media, including American network NBC.

What they did "wrong".

Who knows? It is possible that shooter / bomber’s motivation is a backlash against the government’s pro Muslim immigration PC Diversity policies - considering the rise in rapes and murders in recent times done by Muslims. Could have been a blond white Norwegian... We will know eventually ...

I note ABC didn't mention the obvious until the last 3 paragraphs of the artice on the 2nd page:

The attacks come as Norway grapples with a homegrown terror plot linked to al-Qaida. Two suspects are in jail awaiting charges.

Terrorism has also been a concern in neighboring Denmark since an uproar over cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad six years ago. Danish authorities say they have foiled several terror plots linked to the 2005 newspaper cartoons that triggered protests in Muslim countries. Last month, a Danish appeals court on Wednesday sentenced a Somali man to 10 years in prison for breaking into the home of the cartoonist.
