An arrest warrant has been issued for the manager of a Marietta McDonald's after she punched a mother of two autistic boys in the face, Marietta police said.

It happened at the McDonald's on Bells Ferry Road, police said.

The manager, Tiffany Denise Allen, told the woman that the twin boys’ service dog, Barkley, wasn't allowed inside, police said. Allen was off duty.

The law, however, states that the dog is allowed inside.

The boys’ mother, Jennifer Schwenker, said the incident took place on July 12 when she took the boys to the McDonald's to have lunch.

Channel 2’s Diana Davis got her hands on a surveillance tape showing one of the twins and Barkley enjoying the restaurant’s play area.

I for one have absolutely no problem with a service dog in a restaurant. Most dogs are better behaved than some children I have encountered.

Most people with service animals keep them well brushed.

Hair in your food is more likely from a human than a service animal.

She was also off-duty at the time. Sounds to me like she just wanted to mess with the white woman.

"“service” dog or not. I have enough problems picking human hair out of my fast food."

Then stay out of places that service dogs are permitted. Your rights are no more important than anyone elses.

This is like “Bracket Creep”. Everyone understands the concept of seeing-eye dogs assisting the blind. But then most states created the term “Service Dog” and granted blanket expemptions for these animals in public accomodations. But then the regulatory agencies later started adding the the category without considering the consequences. Nobody stopped to think.

I have a radical idea. Leave it up to the property owner whether or not to allow service animals, or any other kind of animal.

...they [service dogs] have proliferated to pretty much anyone who remotely has a disability, including depressed people.

I'm trying to wrap my head around a service dog for autistic kids, but a service dog for depressed folks? I understand how the dog assists the blind or paralyzed, but how does it help (or what's the reasoning) the autistic or depressed?

Yep. I know a “depressed” person who has a service dog that he can take on airplanes. All he had to do was get a note from his family doctor that he medically needed the dog to cheer him up and - voila - he gets to take it on planes and bring it in restaurants. I have no problem with a blind person bringing a dog in a restaurant. I have a big problem with an autistic person or a depressed person or any other person without an obvious need bringing an animal in a restaurant.

And I said, "What about breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember the fool,
And as I recall, I think, she just kinda lost it."
And I said, "Well, that's a lawsuit you've got."
