Could this be the 0bama personal meltdown? It’s starting to feel like Julius Caesar heading to the Theatre of Pompey.

I give Boehner a lot of credit for staying strong and showing courage during this political-financial fight. He must be under tons of pressure...hang tough my friend.

Obama seems in a self destructive mode right now.

Boehner and Reid need to do a joint presser and put the blame on obama.

Killed was a euphemism. It was not a literal word. Of course it can rise again. It was not even taken up. The vote was to not take it up.

My point to the poster was totally different...I was just trying to get him understanding that in that very bill, which stopped in the Senate after passing the House, the debt ceiling was raised.

He was demanding that the debt ceiling not be raised in any legislation going forward, when that has already been done in GOP legislation.

The House should send this deal that Reid agreed to, on to the Senate, then leave town.

The House should change it slightly then send to reconciliation w/ Senate. In reconciliation, make it the CCB plan... which would pass the Senate.

Twofer - get CCB and screw Obama using reconciliation. Payback is only starting - and it IS A BITCH

Obama has played the republicans in the Gang of Six like a finely tuned fiddle.

Gang of 6 plan won't pass the House. Those guys will hold for no higher taxes.

I pray not.

I have seen, first hand, a narcissistic melt down. I shudder to see that happen with a president.

If he truly has narcissistic personality disorder, the GOP needs to have a shrink on staff to help them. You don't not want to push Obambi like they have been. He will destroy the whole house of cards rather than conceded, and will blame the GOP for it.

BS said NO? Let the loser own the crisis. The House has a negotiated deal with Dingy Harry of the Senate. Take the deal or let the chips fall where they may. The Social Security, military, and other obligations will be paid first. Then BS can start cutting welfare programs and entitlements until the cows come home. When the people figure out that they can do without a lot of the government, things are starting to take a turn in the right direction.

The Gang of Six plan is not ready for primetime. No legislation, just a framework. The reality is that there is not enough time to produce any real legislation save for the Rep plan that was passed by the House.

IMO there will have to be a short term increase in the debt ceiling just to buy time for a real legislative plan to be produced by both Houses. Regardless of what Obama may say, that is the reality.

The Gang of Six plan contains elements that neither the Dems or Reps favor. There are not the votes to pass it.

Maybe so, but that also plays for Obama as he’ll be able to blame republicans.

That’s another reason the horsewhipping is called for.

One analyst on FOX business indicated if there is no debt ceiling increase, the govt will have to live on what it had .... in 2006

Gee does not sound like armageddon, does it?
I don’t remember people starving in the streets in 2006
And the unemployment rate in 2006 was what, about 5%?

Go ahead and pass it in both houses. Let him veto it.

Exactly. Time for Boehner to agree tot he deal, declare Victory and hand it off to obama.

Reid and Pelosi get what they want in not tying this mess to SS or other stuff, Boehner gets no tax increases, etc.

So long as Typhoid Barry is in office we have to be realistic with stuff.

Let Typhoid Barry own this mess now.

Obongo wants it HIS way and through the 2012 elections. He’s already in the battle of his life. I say one term for sure, nobody could be stupid enough to vote for that moron twice.

“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn’t we be worried about the country?” Boehner said. “I’m not worried about the next election. I told the president months ago: Forget about the next election!”

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/173143-boehner-obama-worried-about-his-next-election

“As I read the Constitution,” he recalled telling Obama, “the Congress writes the laws and you get to decide what you want to sign.”

Soebarkah wants default and government shutdown. He needs chaos to win his next election.

They could send him an ice-cream cake and he would veto that. Keeping his ass in silk is his only concern.

Ratified by 3/4 of the states? No way they could reach that high a number with something as extreme as that right now.

If they presented just the two issues, BBA and term limits only, they MIGHT get enough together to get those passed in the climate we have now. Anything else would never go through with this many Republican chambers in the states, which was why I think its a viable option now.

not that i’d want the other doofus in charge either - but anything would be better than someone intentionally taking us down
