Or, given his age of 21, maybe he got a student visa from the idiots at the State Department.

I'm pretty sure we still have an Embassy in Uzbekistan so he could have strolled into it, given red carpet treatment - like NO background check - was fast-tracked for his Student Visa, and was on a Jet to the USA the next day for 'school'.

Uzbekistan *was* a hot place for intrigue and 'spy stuff' like Istanbul or Beirut used to be. I have a life long friend who was career Army (Special Forces, speaks Russian) and at one time was stationed in Uzbekistan. But officially, he was never there.

Some guy was left off today by a judge. He was acquitted of threatening to kill the president in postings on the internet. The judge ruled "freedom of speech" in the bench trial verdict.

Saying "XXX should be killed" on the internet may be protected speech, but actually taking physical steps towards the goal of killing XXX while involving others is actionable conspiracy.
