Demand that Reid take CCB off the table, allow debate, and a vote. It is the only plan that has enough “cuts” to meet what the rating agencies have said they need to see.

It is a compromise because the debt ceiling is increased, there is new revenue from decreasing the tax rate and expanding the base (projected revenue is mostly from anticipated new jobs).

The House has already voted on a plan, and Reid had it tabled

The primary reason another bill should not have been brought forward. Reid's hand should have been forced. btw .. Boehner, Reid's hand can still be forced with the CCB already in the Senate. Mr. Boehner force Reid's hand.

What if Aug 2nd comes, no bill has passed, and the sun still rises?

Then we're gonna party like it's Y2K

‘What if Aug 2nd comes, no bill has passed, and the sun still rises?’

Uh-uh! Zero has told us it’s the end of the world as we know it.

“forcing Obama to spend less without raising the debt!!”

That is the Key to this whole thing. Any bill has to ensure more revenues verse expenditures period. This is the only way to shrink the government when the senate and house are controller by ill-moral extremist.

God Bless the Tea Party Conservatives in the house they are the only hope right now in smiting this beast! Well that or open rebellion and I would rather not go that way if at all possible.

Yes a ruff road is ahead but there is a light at the end if we hold on this.

Do nothing and the budget goes back to 2006 levels, thats how much money the ‘O’ has spent in the last 2 years, was it that bad in 2006, was the government to small or to big in 2006?

Turner isn’t a freshman. He’s one of the old boys who voted for a friggin’ “national parachute museum” here in Dayton. Disgusting.

Politically, none of this matters. Obama is toast unless the fraud is too great to counter.

And with billions of unaccountable stimulus money, the rustbelt states that went republican in 2010 are back in play.

Boehner needs more time to polish his filthy lies.

Your Congressman is one of the patriotic 25 who are holding strong in the face of pressure from Boehner et al. to betray their conservative principles and constituents. If you have a chance, you might consider calling his office and giving him encouragement and support.

Nothing in this process has been transparent and I don't expect it will suddenly become so.
I don't even know what bill Boehner is about to pass or not but the more the battle the less chance of a deal and the bonus is that if Reid rejects anything then he owns the “default” (whatever that means).

Bonehead will threaten or buy off the votes he needs.
He apparently has bought off or threatened quite a few so called conservatives.

Did Michele Bachmann cave? Ron Paul too?

It’s been hugely disappointing to see Allen West and Paul Ryan roll over for Boehner and the Boys. But I really thought Bachmann and Paul were solid.
