Urgent message to the Tea Party Freshmen and fiscal conservatives: HOLD THE LINE!

HOLD THE LINE!!

They'll have to come back to you. DEMAND a REAL CUT in spending!! Do not under any circumstance approve a debt ceiling increase!! Instead, insist on real spending cuts NOW!! The country is bankrupt. Do not allow them to take us deeper into debt! It's time for the HOUSE to do its job of controlling the spending!

The federal government is bankrupt due to Obama's reckless spending. Cut up his credit cards and force him to quit spending! It's time to put Obama and company into receivership! Make them come to the House to authorize current payments on the debts as they come due so that we don't default. Do not authorize any spending whatsoever on discretionary items until the spending crisis is solved. Pay the obligated social security checks, the military, the interest and the required debt payments, but that's just about it until our fiscal house is in order!

Make no bones about it. We sent you to Washington for one reason and one reason only and that is to take control of our big spending, big taxing problems and get our economy going again so our our people can get back to work!! Do not let the DC ruling class sway you. Do not take your eye off the ball. Do not fail to do your job! Our nation's survival depends upon your vote!!

Tell Boehner to get HIS ass in line!! Cut the damned spending, already!!

Reinforcements are coming in 2012!!

Rebellion is brewing!!

DON'T TREAD ON ME!!

I’ve heard it from Bachmann.

I assume it from Paul.

Complete BS. Republicans who control the House are not obligated to allow increased spending with insignificant cuts because you think they are obligated to compromise( which really means give the liberals a victory), on the destruction of out nation.

I have a question. If Boehner’s vote goes down, what is the way forward?

I find it odd that Laura Ingram is claiming the market is collapsing while during the Clinton administration when the market showed signs of instability, it was called just an adjustment. I find it also odd how most all of cable news and talk shows(excluding Rush) are moving toward this Bonner plan knowing it will be amended by the senate and then the house will sign it and the call to all of us is ‘’walk away and live to fight another day’’. Hey America, are you better off today than you were even last year?

CNN has just plucked up about four Tea Party reps in DC and exposed their personal debt! Mocking them for trying to Hold The Line in their Congressional effort to control our national debt. Laura Ingram on FOX just filibustered Steve King and beat him up for not caving! These guys who want to Hold The Line remind me of the last time I saw men stand on some hill for either principle or death, was by some threat and intimidation from a foreign power! These guys are being threatened politically, morally and beaten up by Republican leaders for crying out loud and willing to. Just because they can do arithmetic.

“How realistic is scenario like that? “

Not sure.

The main thing is that, even if enough R’s “get in line” and pass some form of wimpy package, things won’t be TOOOO bad as long as it is not a beyond-next-election time frame.

We need to either hang tough now or re-focus and do it again before the election. We simply cannot compromise both.

Jim, you're a wonderful guy and you've done enormously good things, but this time you're wrong. The course of action you propose would guarantee that in two years we'd control neither the White House nor either house of Congress. It would be 1996 writ large.

This just now from Charles Krauthammer, who is nobody's idea of a RINO:

Obama faces two massive problems — jobs and debt. They’re both the result of his spectacularly failed Keynesian gamble: massive spending that left us a stagnant economy with high and chronic unemployment — and a staggering debt burden. Obama is desperate to share ownership of this failure. Economic dislocation from a debt-ceiling crisis precisely serves that purpose — if the Republicans play along. The perfect out: Those crazy tea partiers ruined the recovery!

Why would any conservative collaborate with that ploy? November 2012 constitutes the new conservatism’s one chance to restructure government and change the ideological course of the country. Why risk forfeiting that outcome by offering to share ownership of Obama’s wreckage?

He's absolutely right.

At some point in the midst of the most dangerous chaotic social change the people one listens to for sound advice has to be restricted to those happily (meaning non-adulterous) married and with children, even when the children are adopted, or non-adopted wards. This includes widows and widowers, who are raising or who have raised children.

There’s a needed grounding, perspective, and a courageous humility in that situation not found in other classes of advisors.

“What’s so thoroughly disheartening and disgusting is the number of supposedly conservative talk radio personalities BACKING BoneHead’s plan and disparaging the TEA Party members’ courage.”
___________________________________________________________

The only one I’ve heard supporting Boehner’s plan (This morning) was Laura Ingraham...in the bit*hy, snarky, inside the beltway tone of hers.

Sorry Laura (aka Ms. Culture Watch) you couldn’t be more wrong...and annoying!

Somebody just posted "We should rally on DC like the Teamsters did in Madison"

Sounds great but there is one problem, when you see demonstrations like what happened in Madison, those are PAID demonstrators by the Unions. People like us, we have to work for a living. That is one reason you don't see more of the Conservatives doing "spontaneous" demonstrations on a moments notice.

Now when the TEA PARTY got into gear, the key was local rallies, and then a set date in the future for a rally in Washington DC.

I must say this, this is my opinion. Since the Mid Term Election, the Tea Party in some sense....dissapeared like the job was over. Now my Rep in Washington The Honorable Dennis Ross FL-12, is a Tea Party candidate and is voting NO today on the Bohner bill. But other "Tea Party" candidates have caved in. The GOP is fractured, and I am worried that once fractured the RINO's will join the Dem's and give Obama a political victory.

Can we get a FR-sponsored rally/march going sometime soon? (And I don't mean a half-day event with a few speakers.) Can we get a movement going to park our selves down there for a week or more? Time is running out fast to get anything done, the time to act is now.

All the phone calls and faxes and tweets ain't getting it done. Time to turn up the heat on that “brewing rebellion!”

I'm willing to take Monday and Tuesday off to make my position known on Capital Hill. Surround the Capital and yell "Cut, Cap, and Balance", and "It's the spending, stupid!", and Balance your budget, we have to!"

Thanks!

I have not seen much TV lately and I don’t Twitter, but I was hoping she had come down on the side of no (or at least extremely limited, non-long term) raises in the limit.

No, bpth of you are wrong.

If the Republicans pass the Boner bill, there will be two bills that won’t pass the Senate, or, this one gets Dingy Harry’s treatment and the Republicans agree to pass the compromise and the sh*t hits the fan and the Republicans still own it.

It’s better to be principled and screwed than to roll over and be screwed. The latter says you both wanted it and the shared responsibility for the repercussions.

Not sure this is the official live thread.

But, watching the debate and Dems are complaining that another vote will be needed in a few months to raise the debt ceiling again. If that’s their issue, just CUT more current SPENDING which automatically reduces the need for more debt!

Sorry, KRAUTHAMMER is a big time establishment RINO and opponent of the tea party. He has no idea what the grassroots tea party is all about.

He’s right about this:

“Obama faces two massive problems — jobs and debt. They’re both the result of his spectacularly failed Keynesian gamble: massive spending that left us a stagnant economy with high and chronic unemployment — and a staggering debt burden. Obama is desperate to share ownership of this failure.”

But falls waay short on the solution. We cannot get out of debt by piling on more debt. We must not compromise with the left and give Obama another blank check. We must hold the line on spending!!

If KRAUTHAMMER and pundits of his etablishment RINO ilk would work as hard for liberty as he and they do for promoting left-wing crisis/panic propaganda, then perhaps it might make our job of convincing the public a little easier.
