What’s the big deal about the House passing this. The buffoons in the Senate said they aren’t going to pass it and the Kenyan said he’d veto it. This is nothing but an exercise in stupid.

Sort of.

You have to hit the ball into the other court and the opponent bears responsibility for what they do with it. At least this one has some good top-spin.

No. As Reagan proved, symbolism is important.

It reminds me of the Israelis giving up more and more land for peace! HA! It never works ... they just keep getting bombed.

Republicans keep compromising-- and for what?? "no good deed" and all that.

and the Kenyan said he’d veto it

Naturally the Kenyan will veto it - - the whole purpose of the Balanced Budget Amendment is to rein in and stop people like Ubama and his ilk. The important thing is that he actually be forced to veto it for the whole nation to see. And that's after the Senate rats have to go on record. See, Reid and his scumbags don't even want to have to vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment. They need to be forced to do so.

Good point, instead, the House should just raise the debt limit by $2.5 trillion and agree to whatever else Obama and Reid decide they want.

Crack negotiating.

“and the Kenyan said he’d veto it. “

he can veto the spending bill, but he has no role in a constitutional amendment. teh joint congressional amendment goes to the States through the National Archivist, for ratification.

::::::::::::::::::

Hardly.

We know exactly what Obama’s mob will do. This will put it all on the record that the socialist rats trashed EVERYTHING that America needs to solve our economic (and political) problems. Which, of course, was all created and presented by the Repubs!

Then it will be time for Obama and his ilk to stand and deliver. He has put forth nothing tangible as a solution -— just more socialist taxation and spending would be in line with his agenda of ruining the free, democratic system, including its capitalist economy, in America. We sit on the brink.

So you’re a big help.

The House shouldn’t pass anything? Although an argument could be made that they did pass CCB and the Senate tabled it. If the House isn’t going to stand on the principle of what it passed, then they have to bring up something else.

I’m so proud of the Conservative Tea Party stalwarts currently holding the line. 67% of this country thinks the federal government should have to live with a balanced budget. Just like all states have to do, just like all us peons have to do. No entity, in the laws of economics, should be allowed to constantly spend more than they bring in. Lines of credit are fine but restraint.

We got a president who increased the debt limit from ten trillion to 14 trillion. and now he asks for the right to raise it to 17 plus trillion.

The pubs got a winner here but they don’t want to fight the battle. Scuse...the GOP Blue Blood Ruling Class elite.

Instead they make fun of us silly morons who want to keep that communist in the WH from dismantling and destroying this country. They have spines of rubber.

Don’t tell us to wait until the pubs own all the parts of the gubmint. Cause when we do, and we shall I am sure, we might have 70 senators, the prez, and 325 reps. Then they’ll ask us to wait until a second term for the repub prez, just to make sure, for about ten more senators to shore it up, and maybe fifty more reps to make it solid.

They’ll push it off again because they really don’t want to fight the war. They only want the cocktail party invites, cameras spanning their gorgeous bods slowly and with honor...THE HELL WITH US!

It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Balancing the budget....damn what a concept.

Limbaugh explained it yesterday on his program. To make a long story short, the Democrats set a trap for the Republicans and the Republicans walked into it. In addition, the bill does not do what it claims it will: To wit: cut spending. It may cut the ratre of increase [growth].

But, what the hell, let them go ahead nd pass the damn thing. The sooner we go broke, the sooner the Americans among us can begin rebuilding. The others, the buzzards will eat them, because they lack the will and ability to survive without the governent wiping their butts. It is going to be tough on the Americans, but, in the end they will figure a way to survive.

“and the Kenyan said he’d veto it”

The president has no authority to veto a constitutional amendment ratified by the states. He has no say in the matter.

Exactly. I don't understand it. It's dumb. All it does is give democrats talking points from GOP senators who bad mouth the tea-party. AND it gives dem opposition something to bring up in next year's election:

Congressman so and so voted to cut pell grants....voted to...blah blah blah

Its very stupid. It weakens him and he doesn't need to do it.

Great RINO talking points.

The newest members in Congresss were elected to make the hard decisions, and nothing is harder than finding a means to force the "we can spend our way out of this" Cloward-Piven Soros crowd to stop spending the citizens' money today for income over the next 40 years.

It should be a no-brainer.
Increased spending limit today?
Meaningful cuts today.
No compromise, dammit!!

The big deal is that this economy is trashed and the repercussions will be felt by those who didn’t try to sound the alarm.

Two months ago it had the makings of a serious defeat for The Usurping Marxist Onada. But Boehner blew it by including raising the debt ceiling and no meaningful spending reductions in his bill. Then he embarked on the comedy of negotiating with himself for two months. All those secret and late night meetings with Pelosi, Reid and Onada were BS from beginning to end.

For some reason I cannot fathom Boehner really thought he was lookin’ good. All he did was disgust and embarrass reasonably intelligent conservative and GOP voters.

I think the light bulb finally went on when he called a closed door meeting with Tea Party Conservatives and the to “get their asses in line”. Didn’t work.

So after two months of the circle jerk Boehner has accomplished nothing. He can do some good by working with Tea Party Conservatives and non-RINO pubbies in the House and Senate to insure any vote on a budget is put off until after Aug 2—the demrat proclaimed Armageddon. When nothing significant happens—it will not—and Americans are going about a normal life the jig will be up.

Why won’t the sky fall? America is too big to fail—even for the Marxist Onada.

Think about it. Except for a bunch of world-wide bloviating what will materially change on Aug 3rd as far as America is concerned? Nothing.

One hopes the demrats may have engineered one manufactured crisis too many and it will hurt them severely in 2012. Same goes for GOP RINOs.

On reflection, I think Tea Party Conservatives established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Note to GOP: Come to us we’re not coming to you.
