"I think the time has come to bury a time capsule for a future generation to find and learn about the United States of America."

No, it's time to put the GOP on the ash-heap of history and build a new one from the devastation.

The ONLY thing those old-dog GOP "leaders" understand is the loss of their seat. We have to take out several dozen in 2012, either in the primary or the GENERAL.

The GOP will not fight for conservative causes and the events of the last few weeks were the defining cause of our generation.

When it counted MOST, they let us down nearly across the board.

First we must eliminate the traitors in our midst before we take on the less difficult challenge of defeating our sworn enemies...

Or, are they the SAME enemy?

Big Government. GOP and Democrats are one, and the same.

Conservatives don’t approve of this bill, it was written to please the Senate RINOs.

Hatch and Graham look silly going for conservative ‘cred’ here.

Seems strange that Reps would be voting against this but that’s how Senate Kabuki works.

Citizens can still embrace individualism and liberty. The defect is with the government, the people are free to reject the government.

Many do, but the government is making it increasingly difficult to pursue life liberty and pursuit of happiness. I had really hoped the funded deficit would be addressed this week; it was not. What is happening now in Senate is reminiscent of Obamacare. The government does not care what the citizens think. They are there to serve themselves and help themselves.

The country is not going to survive this debt if it is ignored much longer, and what I saw today was another kick of the can down the road :(

Of course, the Senate cannot originate a bill that levies taxes

A fact which has been little discussed in my hearing. I like the way you think!

“The Boehner bill was horrible. Stick to CCB...”

Yep, and 66% of the public agrees on CCB. Now all we need is a real vote.

They are the CCB crowd. That is why they voted no.

I believe Lee was a sponsor on CCB.

Reid said GOP not negotiating in good faith. He then suggested the absence of a quorum and left the Chamber. (Maybe the pizza arrived.)

"And I think the House would prefer to have the August 2 deadline pass than to pass an awful bill."

You're kidding, right?

They just passed a stinkin' pile of sh!t and that's far worse than an "awful bill".

Ingraham's spin, as expected, is that if the stupid Tea Party hadn't pressured the cowardly Tea Party freshmen into forcing the heroic Boehner to add the BBA, then the Senate wouldn't have tabled the bill, and they might even have passed it.

McConnell offered to let Reid vote on his deficit bill tonight. Reid agreed IF McConnell agrees to simple majority passage. Offer withdrawn.

McConnell told Senator Reid at around 6pm that he will not negotiate with him. Sigh. Very Disappointing. #compromise

My concern is not only the government==the RINOS and dems, but it is the debt. We are Greece—maybe worse.

We have federal unfunded liability no one is even talking about, and many states are a mess. If all Boehner could muster was $900B over TEN YEARS we are in trouble.

Needless to say, I am very concerned and depressed :(

The Three FudgeSticks, Reid, Durbin and Schumer are now speaking.

Reid just said if they (the House) don’t accept HIS BILL 100%, then it’s default city.

This is FILTHY DIRTY lies from the RATS. I want to bash them in the head with a bat.
