McCain rips Toomey on Senate floor (McCain attacks Tea Party vision as "flawed" and "terrible")
The Morning Call, Allentown, Pa. ^ | 2011-07-31 | Colby Itkowitz

Former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, who this week referred to Tea Party lawmakers as "hobbits," publicly criticized Pennsylvania's Pat Toomey Sunday during an unusual unscripted debate on the Senate floor.

McCain, who appeared to be having a great 'ol time during a back and forth with Democrat Majority Whip Sen. Dick Durbin, referred to Toomey and those who share his views as "terrible."

(snip)

"...the terrible obstructionists on this side of the aisle, the terrible people, their flawed philosophical views about the future of America..."

Here we go again.

It's Palin’s fault!

J.D. Hayworth was such a great Candidate that he had no Campaign cash and he lost the Primary by 25%.

Again if you missed it the first time, it's all Palin’s fault! BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.

Geez, look up the thousands of posts on this subject before commenting, please.

McCain is back in the media spotlight, which he adores. He’s as much of a whore as the media is.

Thank you for your service, Sen. McCain. The door is that way.

Excellent observation...couldn't agree more!

She's done some good things, but her ridicule of the Tea Party, and her embracing of GOP elites (RINOs) like Romney has me livid. As I mentioned, she was especially caustic and nasty with regards to the Tea Party members in the House who were opposing this hideous plan by Boner. My guess is, she was catching hell all day Thursday, and during her show on Friday from Pi$$ed of Tea Party (read conservative Americans), and this really bugged her.

I'll wager you that she lost many regular listeners because of her tirade last week. In my mind, she was acting the same way towards the Tea Party as Liberals do. I'm done listening to her. I still have Rush, Mark and Sean.

Oh, and if you remember, she was one of Palin’s biggest critics when Palin resigned her Governorship in Alaska. Ingraham does not like Palin, and it shows...she can't hide her disdain.

Hey Laura, get a clue, Sarah has more political instincts than you'll ever have. You're nothing but an establishment hack! Hope you enjoy your reduced audience size...you've earned it!

I thought article this was talking about what McCain said last week-not today.

I guess he needs to go on Hannity again and tell us how conservative he is!

McCain isn’t running in 2012. He is in office to 2016.

Carefully produced in a superb vineyard, a once fine wine has gone waaay beyond it’s time. Now it’s not even fit for salad vinegar. Best go back to his bootlegger in-laws in Arizona.

He handled himself with honor as a POW and got almost every bone in his body broken for his trouble........

Which is admirable but doesn't excuse his backstabbing or his stupidity.

The poor man obviously spent too much time in the Hanoi Hilton.

I want my vote back.

A lot of Tea Party people probably voted for McCain. Despite the fact that he was a lousy candidate.

What a miserable failure of a man this POS is.

Senator Toomey: Please, please PLEASE - the next time this traitorous old b*stard opens his mouth, publically lay into him and tell him to sit down, shut up, and go home.

He will probably appear on the Michael Medved show sometime this coming week. Medved always indulges him.

John McCain is a traitor to everything he suffered for as a POW early in his life....and is a waste of oxygen in his old age.

He has NO idea what he’s talking about. HE is the one who is flawed, not the ones trying to save America from ruin.

Sometimes I think McCain has a little bit of residual Stockholm Syndrome. Many of us have served more years in the military than McCain did. Just because he happened to be shot down and was held as a POW doesn’t automatically qualify him as the smartest apple in the barrel to be doing our bidding for us as a Senator. Time to wake up Arizonians before you guys are going across the border into Mexico to find jobs.

John McCain service in Viet Nam is in the PAST, he served his country BUT has been well compensated for it..I no longer have any respect for him.

Just fired off an email to Sen. Toomey..He better stand up for himself or he will find himself replaced, he just had 51% of the vote when elected..and he can be voted OUT...

This American is fed up with OLD Timers who have made a career of Politics and act as ‘kings’...vote them all out, lets get a new crop..if a new crop can't work for the people, vote them OUT also...

this bull s_i_ is getting tiring.....
