Huntsman: Bachmann Makes Headlines Because She Makes Good Photography Is the media only covering Michele Bachmann because she makes for pretty pictures? Thats rival GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsmans new claim, and those comments are certainly not likely to win him new fans on his quest for the nomination. In a long story running in this weeks New York, Huntsman who recently abandoned his lackluster Mr. Nice Guy campaign in favor of taking direct swipes at his opponents suggested Bachmann, the only woman officially running for president, gets the attention she gets in part because shes good-looking. She makes for good copy and good photography, Huntsman told New Yorks John Heilemann. The quote came in the context of talk about Bachmann being more an object of media fascination than a plausible nominee, as Heilemann put it. Bachmann is highly photogenic. Shes also a tireless campaigner, a fearless self-promoter, a woman who goes out of her way to create her own media cycles and a current front runner for the Republican presidential nomination. Im fairly certain that she would be getting press coverage regardless of her looks.

But kudos to Sarah Palin for giving Bachmann a shout out tonight on Hannity. :D
But Palin took a swipe at the presumed frontrunner for not having taken a position on the debt debate until it was too late to influence the process.
God bless him, I have respect for Mitt Romney, but I do not have respect for what he has done in this debt debate, she said. He waited until it was a done deal and then he came out and made a statement that he didnt like it after all.
Palin said candidates and presidents need to be willing to take a stand, or else you are inviting a crisis." She licked a finger and held it in the air the universal gesture for testing the political winds saying, You dont go and do this.
Hannity asked her whether there were any candidates whod performed better.
Michele Bachmann, Palin said. She spoke out and she cast her vote according to her principles.
But, she hastened to add, Im not prejudging the field at this point.
Well, it never hurts to be tall and good-looking. Although all the candidates who were ONLY good-looking never got very far.
Huntsman should be glad he’s not getting any media attention. The last thing he needs is for Americans to be reminded that he’s got ties to Obama.
China’s candidate, Huntsman, has foot in mouth disease.
Where is the big upwelling of support for Huntsman, Obama’s ambassador to China? From GE maybe?
Well then, Ms. Sarah Palin and a rash of other female Republicans should be grabbing headlines. Throw Coulter and Ingraham in there.
I’m still trying to figure out why he’s running and who he’s trying to appeal to. I’m not even sure he knows.
What is it that this Huntsman guy is running for?
Ah, but the Morning Joe crew loves him!
Huntsman should have the good sense to quit. He is going nowhere.
And Huntsman doesn’t get media attention because he avoids it.
He doesn’t want it.
He’s going for lobbyist support, he does not need the public to support him.
In fact, the last thing he wants is for the public to find out what positions he would actually take if the nation suddenly lost it’s marbles (wouldn’t be the first time, I know) and elected him.
Huntsman Makes Headlines Because He Makes Good RINO.”
It's more of a regurgitated Democratic talking point than a GOP thing.
He's essentially approaching this like a conservative Democrat (e.g. Ben Nelson), so it fits, actually.
Jealous much, Jon?
“Im still trying to figure out ... who hes trying to appeal to.”
The photogenic Bachmann.
Obviously.
However, I think even Marcus could kick his ass.
Boys, time to leave the sandbox.
I wonder if Glenn Beck regrets falling all over himself endorsing Huntsman?
Huntsman, the Newt and Obamacare inventor Romney are all loser clowns that model themselves after Slow Joe.
I haven;t quite figured it out yet, but somehow I think that John Huntsman may be in there to run interference for Mitt Romney. Both men are Mormons. It is important that all voters learn all they can about Mormonism before setting on one to support to run the nation. We really do not need another RINO to lose to Obama. So Malibu Ken and Quasimoto need not apply. We definitely need a resolute conservative to be nominated, So go Michelle Bachmann! My check is in the mail!
“Although all the candidates who were ONLY good-looking never got very far.”
I’m not sure how you want to score this one but...
Edwards got to home plate... with at least one voter.
Ah, but the Morning Joe crew loves him!
