Critical Sarah Palin documentary to make September debut
CBS News ^ | 08/04/11 | Lucy Madison

Just months after the Iowa premiere of the pro-Sarah Palin documentary "The Undefeated," the world will get a glimpse of the former Alaska Governor from a different - and likely more critical - cinematic perspective: In September, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield, who directed "Kurt & Courtney" and "Biggie & Tupac," will debut "Sarah Palin - You Betcha!" at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), which runs from Sept. 8-18.

Unlike the flattering portrait of Palin touted in "The Undefeated," which was made with the former vice presidential candidate's cooperation by a conservative filmmaker, Broomfield's goal was "cracking her story," as a release for the film put it, even though "people are frightened to talk.

Best line from “The Undefeated” — “Sarah Palin is like a Marine. She doesn’t run from the fight. She runs into the fight.” — Tammy Bruce

She’s running. Take it to the bank. She just hasn’t announced yet.

All this hate directed at a private citizen.

Can you imagine what they would do against an actual holder of public office?

When you’re capable of writing sentences that make sense you’re welcome to try again.

Even if everything the lefty liars said about Sarah Palin was true, she’d still be a trillion times the President Barack Obama is.

Someone just told me on another thread she was announcing in the fall of 2012. The media do trash her but the amount of know it all self appointed Palin campaign managers that post here is pathetic.

People are so used to politicians fighting to remain in power no matter what for their own personal political ambitions (see: Weiner, Rangle, etc.) that when a true public servant comes along and has the best interests of their constituents at heart, it looks unusual.

She was a target and her office was hamstrung by the legal attacks (directed from the White House)that were costing the state millions in legal fees and lost productivity.

She recognized that by removing the target (her) the Governor’s office could get back to it’s normal responsibilities.

She had already fulfilled all of her campaign promises and had made such unprecedented reforms the state of Alaska was set on a course of fiscal solvency for decades to come.

Alaska has a $12 Billion dollar surplus now due to the reforms and frugal government she instituted.

Her resignation was a selfless act of courage. She put the people of Alaska ahead of her own personal ambitions, she had already accomplished all she set out to do...and she could have stuck around drawing a salary and milking the system while the state suffered as most typical politicians do, but instead she won a victory against her political enemies and went on to help engender the Republican landslide in 2010.

This is why the left hates her so...she is effective. The fact that they have been reduced to calling her a quitter shows they have noting of substance against her.

She is the exact opposite of a quitter, which they will see very shortly. Soon they will be wishing she would ‘quit’.

I almost feel sorry for them. Not.

“people are frightened to talk [about Palin].”

:-D )))

No, seriously, if that’s not the most absurd thing I’ve read lately, it’s on the short list.

The problem isn’t getting people on either side to talk about Governor Palin, but getting them to shut up.
